Genghis Khan. Yes, I'm that special. (by the way, I think everybody in the UK is related to everybody in the UK before the 14th century. So, yeah)

Maybe locally somehow, as I am apparently a descendant of local, Medieval knights. Bow before me ye peasants!

Henry Morgan, famous pirate.
Oddly enough, I killed him in Pirates! on the PC when I was nine.

I am a direct descendant of Ned Kelly on my fathers side, so i guess I'm Aussie convict through and through.
I thought he died without having any kids.

I'm distantly related to Billy Doherty, the drummer of Irish Pop-Punk band (back when pop-punk was good) The Undertones.

The house of Orange-Nassau, which is currently our (Netherlands) royal house. It's not a direct link though... One of my ancestors apperantly shagged a male member of the family in the 1600's and that's about it I guess.

But seeing how most people are connected to the 100 or so people who left africa a several thousand years ago and went on to populate europe, asia and america. So I guess I'm related to everyone! Or not. Yeah, lets go with not.

I'm related to William the Conqueror on my mother's side. My great grandpa was into finding out that kind of information. ^-^

Can't really think of anybody, but I can't say I really looked either.

There seemed to be some pirate on one side, and a bunch of gypsies on the other though, but that might just be my grandparents bullshitting me.

...sort of. I'm related to the guy who patched up John Wilkes Booth after he shot Lincoln and broke a leg jumping off the balcony at the Ford Theater.

It's a bit of a dubious honor, to be sure.

Apparently one ancestor was a member of the James gang (the one led by the OP's ancestor), and I am distantly related to a famous CBS news anchor. But there is no definitive proof of that, so I said "I don't know".

My great Grandpa was in the battle of Verdun in WW1, and was pretty much the only surviving member of his unit, but that's about it.

Basically, he was told to go leave the bunker/trench to go and deliver a message. He wasn't happy having to leave the safety of the bunker, but he did it. A few seconds after he hopped out to go deliver the message...BOOM. Grenade in the bunker, killing everyone. Thus, delivering that message saved his ass.

...And that's probably where I get my inordinately high luck from.

But that's as close as I come to being related to anyone famous.

A sort of distant relative (see him at weddings, thats it) was the lightweight boxing champion of Europe. Lost his title a couple of years back though. If anyone knows the world of boxing very well they might have heard of him, his name was John, I can't even recall his sirname right now though. He wanted to fight Khan, but never did.
