I'm not rich nor do I want to be. To me, money clouds judgement and causes people to be increasingly self centered. It also fakes happiness, making you feel content even though you're empty inside. Sure we need money for food and such but too much leads to clouded feelings and false emotions.
That's my thought on money and being rich.
I'd like to be rich - i would hate to have to be famous though. I made good money just now and I will probably make more over my lifetime, but if being rich required me to be in the public spotlight i would decline - I like privacy too much.
Meh, I' wouldn't like to be rich actually. If I get enough to get through the day and buy some of the stuff I want (And I don't buy much.) I'm happy. The job I'm studying for pays quite well, won't make me a billionaire though, but I'm fine with that.
Used to be poor, now lower middle class. If I was rich I would use all my money to support communism in order to feed the poor. Being poor sucks bollocks.
I don't want to hijack the thread, so if you want to argue with me you can easily find the Socialism/Capitalism thread.
I bought a scratch off ticket today and one $150, I am rolling in the money now.
I am technically rich, but much of it was left to me when my father passed away. There where some debts, and taxes are a whole other story. So while I may seem to have money coming out of my ass on paper, I have very little to spend myself.

Money=shit. I'm just gonna run away to the forest and live quiet life with my love.
"He is richest who is content with the least, for content is the wealth of nature." -Socrates
I have been happy watching a cat bat at a piece of string and sleeping (I was grounded, had to make the most of it). So, if we take Socrates' word to be true then I am rich and I want to stay that way.
I have been informed that you meant monetarily. I would like to be rich but I would not want to live that lifestyle. If I were rich I would live a middle class life and take month long vacations once or twice a year or work a 20 hour week(this is assuming my job provides money I need to be "rich"). I would want a job so I would do something and not get bored (this is assume by "rich" you mean I magically have a billion dollars or something).

I have three cars, a summer house in China, a flat somewhere in England that we rent out, a Gibson, a three storey normal house and my sister goes to a private school.
Look, I'm very lucky to be in the family I'm in, I know. Money can buy people for Christ's sake, but i don't get any pleasure from owning things. I rather share things, rather then have things. I am one of the only people here(town-wise) that recognizes what money does to people, and that only money sedation, not happiness.
