Yep, I'm single. Wish I wasn't, but then again I've come to the conclusion that I have impossibly high standards.

Yes, and I haven't tried to get a date. Normally I'd say I'm 15, but a good bit of my peers have dated quite a bit so that's not entirely valid.

What that guy said. Love partially ruined my life a couple of years ago, and now that everything else is finally going in the right direction that part of my life is still as sucky as back then.

You of course making the mistake of assuming those numbers are on purpose...they arent...well of course, with the exception of you a very rare few others...then again you cant tell in a text based world who is lying.

It's depressing for the people who aren't single by choice, I would assume, but I've seen more than one comment on this thread that suggests they're perfectly happy being single.

It was just a comment, not arguing with anyone.

nope, no i am not and loving it even more than the single life. it comes with a substantial amount of perks that are unavailable in their purest form during the single life. love my girl to death and everything so its all good. i would highly suggest the transistion, its like going from basic cable to satellite.

Agreed, realationships are a big pain in the ass. After a while it feels like maintenance more then anything.

That's so agonizingly true. I'm an extremely empathetic person, and I always try to 'rescue' girls with emotional baggage, and it always ends up going downhill.

19 and still a virgin, so that's just splendid.

Yes, I am single, and I do not want to go through the trouble of a relationship again. It drains your of energy/sanity.

To respond to myself: Yes, I do want to be in a relationship, but my girl friend (romantically and just being a friend who is a girl) was leech. Leeches drain your energy, sanity and time. I came to the verdict that the next one might be like that and gave up.
