For your size/gender/age are you physically strong?

Able to lift a lot of weight, etc?

I'll begin, I'm none too strong :( Most things are too heavy/big for me which is really annoying. Although I talk a tough game, grrrrrrr *flexes*

I had to wrestle with a mattress earlier to get it up some stairs...
it was difficult due to lack of space.
But I suppose I'm about average strength for my size/gender/age.

Considering my height/size yes, pretty damn strong. I am not bulky, nor am I particularly tall but I can handle more weight at the gym than a fair amount of larger people than me.

I'm pretty sure it's genetic though, because my brother is the same way.

That said I am not a physically aggressive person, so it's not like I ever have to test out my strength beyond lifting heavy things at the gym/work/home.

A little weaker than most, I'm not out of shape and am told if I put some effort into toning I could be physically strong... however, I much prefer to use that effort on practicing music and have no desire to be an alpha male.

I'm not exactly the strongest guy in the world but, considering how skinny I am (6'3", about 130 pounds) I'm a hell of a lot stronger than you'd guess from looking at me. If it's any indication, I used to work for a shop, going out on their van delivering furniture.

I'm pretty hench but I used to be much fitter. But I've still got above average strength I'd say. Back in mah army days I used to be able to jog whilst carrying a 180 pound man for a mile. I couldn't do that for shit now.

I've got explosive strength still, so I can still unleash the inner hulk if need be...

Makes me laugh because I never went to the gym in my life yet I (used to be) built like a wrestler.

Well, I'll give most of the credit to my job, but in comparison to an average person with my size and build, yes, I'm actually absurdly strong. In some ways.

If you take a full 100lbs propane bottle, it's actually been named by it's "dry carrying volume", and is then filled no more than 80% of that volume; basically, you get 100lbs of bottle, and 80lbs of propane, for 180lbs. I can pick one up to waist height and walk around, if I need to move it. Same with rolls of granulated roofing sheet, which weigh ~85-90lbs each: I can carry one on each shoulder and take them to wherever I need them. Considering I weigh 180lbs and I'm built fairly slender, that's sort of impressive.

However, I can't bench-press the sorts of weight that are considered typical for someone of my size and build... it's simply a sort of movement I don't use at work. So in some ways, I'm certainly 'scary strong' for my size, but in a few other ways, I'm average or slightly below average.

I'm strong enough to make greenhorns get all goggle-eyed. Heh.

I can drag 4 laser picos up a beach on my lonesome. (Sailing instructor) Rarrrrr! I R Mighty!

I get fed up when people assume that I need help with lifting/carrying stuff 'cuz I'm female. I'm a big girl - I tie my own shoelaces n'everything...! The only things I struggle with is loading stuff up high. I don't like lifting things above my head, cause clumsy, and I drop things. Kayak to the face while trying to load boat on top of car is less than awesome.

Pretty strong. Often accidentally hurting people as I can't really get a measure of my own strength sometimes.

Rarely have an issue lifting anything although I have shitty grip strength.

Fairly I would say!. Physically I know my body can endure a lot of punishment thanks to my RAuxAF training but how much I can put down as strength per muscle mass I do not know. I imagine it would be potent if I was to put my strength behind a punch for example but to what affect or how that translates into pure strength, I don't know.

For my height and weight, it could average out for all I know. Also it has been a year since I left the reserves so the gym has been the furthest thing in my mind for the last few months or so. I do feel a bit softer than before but who knows?.
