I'll help people, but I generally don't TRUST them. I'll gladly give somebody a hand completing a quest, for instance, but I won't lend them an item.

No I'm a complete jerk to the opposition. Hell Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning helped make me be a bigger jerk because it seemingly encouraged it. Ahhh Destruction FTW.

I tend to find that I help people on the other faction more. They're scared of me. They have the brains to keep their distance.

The ones that really get me are the stuck up, pretentious Death Knights that saunter up to me, thinking they're the shit and say, 'buff'. That's it. Just, 'buff'. Ever heard the word please you dickhead? Go and play a real class and get your own damn buffs!

Then I loose the resulting duel and have to spend the rest of the day with my head bowed in shame...

Well, me being a big fan of WoW and other games, i noticed im waaaayy too nice. I am an 80 horde and if i ever see an ally(my level or even lower) in trouble.i will help them. The only time i kill allies is bgs, when they bother me, or if they gank a fellow horde.

But i mean there have been times where i help an ally then they come back and kill me!And it just pisses me off to levels un-imaginably.

are you a pushover in gaming.
I'm confused...are you SUPPOSED to help your allies? I mean, that's why they're called allies, right? Otherwise they might as well call them enemies.

No. I'm not "too" nice when it comes to gaming. What the hell do I have against the players in the other faction? I've covered the retreat of more than one lower-leveled Horde player while I was out traveling.

Then again, I'm one of those freaks who wants the ability to learn other languages, and I'm pissed off that apparently the ability was abused at some point in the past...
There is a legal addon that allows you to do that. http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/tongues.aspx

In MMOs I usually attack based on what my opponent is doing. If he's doing some sort of "chore", questing, leveling, or farming I'll generally leave them alone. Doing those things is already boring as hell as it is, me jumping in and making his life tougher is just a kick in the balls.

That's assuming he's not farming my mobs/materials that I'm trying to get. Game on if he is.

Likewise, if an opposing faction is having trouble while doing any of these activities I'll usually lend a hand. It's sort of an OOC moment, I suppose, though I'm not at all an RPGer.

I don't touch people lower than me either. That is, unless they're in a zone they're not "supposed" to be in. Say a level 65 in a level 20 zone. Gets my suspicion boiling.

Unless they're leveling trade skills or something, but I don't always have the opportunity to see that before I pounce. I figure it's fair enough. Gotta protect the noobs on my side :p.

Well, in World of Wasteoftimecraft, I would usually help those in need of help. Be it horde or alliance, but then again.. If they were on the opposite faction, I'd kill them after helping them. Because I'm mean like that.

I have an altruistic streak when it comes to online games. I help others even if it results in me getting my ass handed to me, I give others health packs and amoo/weapons, even if I need them more and I often volunteer to sacrifice myself to allow teammates escape/an oppertunity.

I helped in the slaughter of any and all Alliance whenever physically possible. However, I was a Holy/Discipline Priest, and therefore a Carebear.

So I suppose I'm middle road. I'm all for slaughter; I just can't do it.
Neutral Evil, perhaps?

Its always makes Left 4 Dead so much more awesome when we're running to the safe room, and a tank attacks us. I always make sure to cover my teammates, and boy this one time it was epic.
Here, I'll write a nice short story describing my favorite moment of sacrificing myself for others.

------
As Zoey, Bill, Francis, and Louis were being chased heavily by the tank, Zoey stopped yelling for the others to go on. They didn't even look at her, as they jumped out of the window and landed on the van, their knees shooting up with pain. Zoey's screams were loud, and the panic in their hearts was growing. The all ran towards the door, weapons in hands, when Zoey came running up behind them, tank in close pursuit. She saw her friends reaching the door... she knew what must be done. She ran away from the door, dropping her rifle along the way. She pulled out her pistol, and started firing at the tank, trying to buy enough time for her friends. The tank was bearing down on her fast, and her knees... her knees felt shattered.... Her clip ran out, and she fumbled for another one when the tank's heavy hands were brought down upon her.
-------

I was playing as Zoey.

Just in WoW.

I prefer Neutral Good when playing DnD and the everlasting game of Life.

Okay here is my list of bad and nice.

Nice: assist someone who is captured, downed, held or stunned.
Too nice: Doing it ALL the game.
Bad: ditching them from the get go.
Too bad: ditching and taking all that is useful at the get go.
Evil: stated above, with team killing and enemy assisting.

I am either nice or bad, depending on who I play with. Never evil, too nice or too bad.

i used to play wow myself, and i found out that i can be nice, or i can be ruthless.

example, there was a lowbie horde dying to an elite quest mob. i helped him kill it quickly, me being level 80 and him being level 30 and all. i figured might as well helped.

but on the flip side, my level 52 rogue was killed by a lock once, i came back to life, and was killed by the same lock again. i logged on my druid, and i kid you not, i corpse camped this warlock for 3 hours before he logged out, he came back 30 minutes later, and i corpse camped him for another hour before he logged off and i went to my raid.

a few days later he saw my rogue (we were both 52 a few days ago, now he was 59) the second he saw me he turned around and RAN. like none other. i lold irl.

yea, i can be both.

When I played WoW, I would always help out the other faction but I don't think that's being too nice.
