My dad used to be really good at some DOSbox dungeons and dragons game, but neither of my parents play too many games. My sister has a kinect that they sometimes play, when I was home for christmas I played with them. My mom does love Grand Theft Auto, my dad originally described it as along the same lines of porn, as it offered pleasure using something that is taboo, but after he saw it he could tell it was a satire and didn't care as much. My parents think virtual violence is just virtual violence, and it doesn't transcribe into the real world.

My Dad used to play Doom or Silent Hill almost every night, then he just kind of stopped. Now he plays casual games maybe once a month.
My dad was a hardcore gamer in his time before work/sickness started to dominate, he loved Zelda and Sonic and basically brought me up and into gaming.
My mum on the hand understand videogame "theory", she understands a lot of in-jokes about them, understands what's going on in many of them, hell even gives me tips and ideas sometimes (not great ones but I can tell that she means well). Her latest project is to make Portal's cake.

WEll my Dad Finds them boring like give him anything to do with games he just goes sleepy
but for somthing reason when i said the NGP Is coming out he got really Intersted and even read the whlole webpage as for my mum she plays angry bird racing games cut the rope and quake

My mom doesn't play any games, she's still getting the hang of checking her email via phone, and texting. >.> My dad however tends to spend his time playing Red Alert or Bejeweled. Occasionally he'll attempt to play the campaign from Modern Warfare 2, Black Ops or Halo: Reach if me or my brother aren't on our consoles, but tends to fail horribly. Hand-eye coordination when you're in the your late 40's isn't what 'it used to be'.

my mum was a huge gamer back in the day, she still enjoys them today but mostly 2d games and simplistic RPG's like fable.
She does try FPS's now and then but since having laser eye surgery she's found her self feeling physically sick after playing for 20 minutes or so
