Yeah, zombies are old... but vampires are older and they're still around (and some of them aren't even shitty). My point is, zombies have become staples of horror just like vampires, werewolves or ghosts. We will have to learn to unlive with them...
On a side note, the zombies in the "Night of the Living Dead" series were not brain-eaters; they were just plain old cannibals. The brain-eating thing came around in the parody "Return of the Living Dead".

They're getting there, but in saying that, there's always a chance for zombie films/books/games to find new ways to do things for the genre. Like a Zombie Musical or something... It'll only get old when everybody makes the same zombie movie/game/book as each other and not offer anything new to it.
Yes... 10 million times over, yes! Zombies are the most boring and overused game cliche since.. well, I can't think of anything that's been as overused as zombies.
No. I play single player only, and from that perspective, there are actually very few zombie games of reasonable quality out there. Most of them are arcade titles.

Of course zombies are getting old. They've been getting old for quite a while now. But so are ninjas. So are space marines. So are pretty much everything.
The key is to find a way to make us forget this. If the way they are used is interesting, who cares if it's getting old? It's all in the execution. It's just that lately, the execution has been getting dull.

Ya, A bit old. It gets really irratating when I am trying to have a serious discussion with someone and my friend steers the conversation to zombies.
