From the outside it seems like a great ability... then you realize you could just get the ring of ramera immidetaly after exiting the sewers if you wanted.
Or just enchant a ring of your own.

I play as a Breton War Mage. Yes, I classify myself as a War Mage. A large array of spells, with some heavy hitting equipment with powerful enchantments makes it fun to play. Especially considering I have around 80% spell resistance at the current moment, and then at least 10% reflection. Magic is virtually useless against him, and he's quite powerful with a sword as well.

I disagree since you can't mash them into paste like you can in Fallout. Spells are much better at least because I can send someone flying across the room with one when I kill them.

I found that in Morrowind, my strongest character was a Breton. Gave him The Atronach birthsign and later on in the game when you get all those snazzy items you'll find yourself completely immune to magic. Seriously, I found that after completing the Mages Guild, I absorbed 75% of magic shot at me and the other 25% did half damage anyway because Breton's resist magicka.

Combine that with the Daedric armor that you would inevitably get and you have an unkillable character.
Hehe you don't even need the Atronoch in that one main quest guys tower (the Televanni dude that curse you) there's the unique armor Cuirass of the Saviors Hide has a 50% resistance to Magic on it.

Breton. Every other choice is silly in comparison. Start with 50% magic resistance. Get the Mundane ring, 100% resistance to magic. Then just work alteration, until you can cast a shield spell that will give you 85% protection against physical. You are practically invincible, have good magic ability and solid defense.

I played as an Orc while playing through Oblivion, because that is the race I picked for Warhammer Fantasy.

Yeah . . . I guess. The thing was that the Atronach gave you spell absorption which was infinitely cooler. Also the armor that I wore most of the time had Feather cast on it so I could keep looting more.

Breton. Good magic talent and great magic resistance make the best generalist characters, and I always combine blade, magic and stealth.

Bretons, because the increased mana multiplier, combined with spell resistance, combined with birth signs that impart additional bonus mana multipliers along with spell weakness that gets canceled out by the resistance = a min/maxing bastard's dream come true.

In this example I'm the min/maxing bastard, is what I'm getting at. Ergo, I play Bretons. Huzzah for basing all roleplaying decisions on stats, ha ha!

I did at least play a dark elf in Morrowind for thematic purposes in one playthrough though.

Wood Elves, because nothing is more fun than playing as a swashbuckling treasure hunter armed with a short sword and a torch.

Yes but I'm always wearing the ring of the dark brother hood... or thieves, can't recall which... Either way my ring wearing ability is none, so I choose argonian :)

50% magic resistance is enough to pick a Breton. You can be 85% resistant with only one or two armour parts/rings, and use the rest for physical resistance. No-one can touch you!

I pretty much always play as an Imperial, despite them not being so suitable for the skills I use in the game.
What can I say? I'm an Imperial, and it shows.

Breton+Apprentice+Magic/Willpower+All magic skills= Win Game.
Ever since Morrowind came out, I've played like this, except for short spiels as a theif wood elf.
That list threw me, actually- I completely forgot you could go Orc. Shows how relevant that race is, huh?

Argonian, solely because all of the humanoid faces in the game were astoundingly unsettling.
