I play as a Dunmer, correction, I normally played as a Dunmer before Bethesda turned them into a bunch of pussies in Oblivion.
In Oblivion I normally play as either; Breton, Imperial or Redguard.
Yes, I agree. They should have kept the original, scratchy voices.

As a matter of fact, they should have kept all of the voice actors from Morrowind going into Oblivion.

My level 99 Nord is fucking awesome. I like to think of myself as a Viking Berserker, and I even gave him a beard, well as best I could.

I'm always an Argonian mostly because I'm like loot and sneak up on people and stab a knife in there neck the lizard gives my bonus' for the stats for sneaking and to sneak up on people in the water so mine is like a stealthy mini Godzilla . . . . . . :D

Khajiit for their skills as stealthy thieves or assassins.
Dark Elf for a battlemage or spellsword.

Hoomans seem so boring when you get things like argonians in the mix :p

I usually choose Khajit though, Argonians are too spiky. And it makes sneaky stuff easier if i remember.

Haha, and I'm playing Morrowind right now. I played either: Mel Gibson- I mean Nord, or Dark Elf. Oblivion ehhh... it usually ended up being a Dark Elf though I found them to be to pretty, and bunch of pussies in oblivion. Hell it's not that hard to find someone that sounds like a pissed off chain smoker lol

Argonian, because the lizards are the only ones whos faces don't look beaten with the ugly-stick sledgehammer.

Also, underwater breating is sweet.

Wood elves = best thief race.
High elves = best wizard race.
So elves all the way. :D

Edit: also come on people Argonians are aweful, there skills are pointless, as is the poison resist and water breathing, you can just use rings to do the exact same things.
plus in morrowind Argonians can't wear boots...so they fail.

Bretons. Their high innate magical resistance makes it ridiculously easy to get full immunity, and magic can easily be used to supplement combat/stealth skills anyway.

Dunmer are nice too, if only because they have bonuses in every combat specialty in Oblivion and make excellent vampires.

Looks like i was one of the only people who played orc. That particular campaign was the best i experienced for that game.

Well Ive only played Oblivion but I chose argonian. Thats because all the faces of the more "human" races looked so oddly shaped. Fortunately I ended up liking being a fishyman, really helped with that mage quest in the well >.>

Bosmer, I like sneaking and shooting. Why would you lump the elves together into one choice, they're way more different from each other than a lot of other options.

As someone who likes playing a wizard, and using magic, I tend to go with a Breton as they have the best skill set up for how I generally tend to play. The elf races are not bad, but the High Elves who are the biggest "magic" race come with some massive racial weaknesses and oddly less of a skill set up for the way I'm going to develop/train.

Also, while I did indeed play "Arena" the first one I got seriously into was "Daggerfall" where I logged what was probably hundreds of hours. That game started in the lands of the Bretons, and I sort of think of it as "home" in an elder scrolls sense. :p

Played Nord in Morrowind after discovering I could make a character who was;
- Immune to Frost
- Immune to Fire
- Immune to Shock
- Immune to all forms of disease
- Resistant to Magicka
- Resistant to Poison
- 50% chance to harmlessly absorb ANY hostile spell
- 10% chance to reflect ANY hostile spell.

You couldn't get the Frost and Shock immunities without being a Nord. Shame that Oblivion nerfed that, but I understand why it was sort of necessary.
