Well that made my brain hurt, I'm generally a good person, if someone needed it i'd give them the shirt off my back, but i gotta look out for myself most of the time too. Yeah that was just a pain....

Well, everything i do for the sake of gain, is to put me in a position where i'm happy.

I spend 2 years working 40-50 hours a week solitary evening, night and weekend shifts, disregarding my social life in favor of work, because i had to save up money for the school i wanted to go to.

I go at that school now, and i'm happy at school, i don't wanna miss a day, even if i was allowed to.
I choose a digital 3d art school because thats what i wanna spend my time doing, and i would be doing it even if i had another career.
I choose that path, because doing something i like for half my waking time will make me happy, whereas living for the weekends, just waiting to get off work will make me misserable.

As far as i understand it, it's only regarding to myself right?
I didn't see any comsideration for the gains and goods of others in the OP's question.

With that understanding, i'll pick gain over good, to the extend i need to maintain a desired level of good.
Or put more understandable, I work as much as i have to, to have enough money for the things i wanna do (also things i wanna do in a year, it's not just a day to day basis) but beyond that point, i'd rather spend my time doing stuff i like, instead of hoarding money for the sake of having money.

I can't really deciede where to place my vote, cause at this point, i'm working towards making X function as a Y in my life, so i won't have to be bothered with duties i don't care for (like a job i don't really enjoy)

Distilled to its simplest expression, your question seems to be "Money or Happiness?" I find the question flawed on a fundamental level. You assert equivalence between happiness, an intangible, quality-based asset, and money and goods, which are tangible, quantity-based assets.

I'd like some of both. Money and goods don't mean much if I am not happy. On the other hand, knowing I can pay the next few months' rent even if I lose my job provides a sense of security, enhancing my happiness. There is no such thing as perfect financial security or perfect happiness. We all have to seek a balance, and that balance is in a different place for each person.

If I must provide an answer, it is this: because I have a little money, and no happiness, I would go for more happy.

"Assume that good =/= gain."

Say what? I don't even. How does that begin to work?
I always choose gain in the name of science. What seems unethical on the short run could be more ethical on the long run. Therefor gain is good and good is gain.
