I still love gaming, but I think most of the games released now seem to be the same shit repackaged. It doesn't help that there are few games that I'm looking forward to this year. I have a 360 and there's barely anything coming out.
I don't play that much anymore, I'm just waiting for games like AC2(hopefully it wont suck) and ME2(looks awesome) to come out. Well, at least there are new episodes of monkey island coming soon. They'll probably fuck those up, though.

It's hard to keep gaming when the majority of the games coming out are just more of the same.
I don't necessarily agree, but I do think that there's less room for variety now that games have Hollywood budgets and restrictions to match.

I also think I've become more picky about what I play. There are games that a lot of people consider good - "Rome: Total War" and "F.E.A.R" for example - that I would probably have persevered with years ago despite their flaws. Now, I just can't be bothered with them. A game has to be at least better than average to keep me playing.

I don't think there will be many "I don't really play games anymore" choices on y'know a gaming forum, personally I chose the second option, I game regulary, however I do find myself spending less time gaming.

You know it isn't games not catching me as much as it is that I have to work and go to school so it's hard to find the time and money for it these days.

Gaming has become the thing that I do in between working out, doing housework, researching stuff on the internet, my job, and browsing forums.

Gone are the days of having a friend or two over to stay the night while we bust out the good ol' SNES for a session of Turtles in Time. Now it's "Dammit, I'm not going to be able to finish this level/mission before I have to go to work/kickboxing."

Well I've been gaming since around 3 or 4. I have to say, games don't hold my attention like they used too. =\

I used to play GTA 3 like it was a cult object back when it first came out.

Time plays a factor but taste has a greater part. Having played a lot of games, I look for more in the genres I particularly like. I also expect more these days in a game. So I don't get excited over every little thing. But that said, there looks to be a good crop of games coming up soon that will be worth getting excited over. The future looks bright in video games at least.
