Arkham City. Not only is it a phenomenal game, It's also not churning out another freaking "sequel" every year. I don't dislike AC:R, but seriously, give me some time to miss you before you come back. =/

Arkham City,

- for the nostalgia of Batman: TAS
- last Mark Hamill Joker (prolly?)
- better than Asylum, and that was awesome
- BATMAN!

Now, i own both, and Revelations is a fun AC game.
But Arkham City is superior, in ohso many ways.

I'm leaning towards Arkham City but I would still like you fine people's opinion on it. Which do you think I should be spending my money on? They both have GOTY additions by now, and are both within my price range. They both have very good review scores and are both in series that I personally love. Which do you guys think I should get?
My vote goes to Arkham City but let this be a warning, the game is fucking short. I bought it recently from GreenManGaming as it was £3.99 and activated on Steam, pretty sweet deal.
I'm glad I didn't cave a couple of weeks earlier to pay the £10.00 price that Steam offered it at because the length of the campaign was utterly appalling in my eyes.
The game itself was very well done and it's really fun to play as Bats or Catwoman as you bounce around the streets and deal leather-clad justice but I can't help but feel cheated out of more story.

The extras are nice and all that but I don't really do the achievements and side quests, I'm in it for the main plot.
The side content will keep you amused for a long time I'm sure but the main story, not so much. I finished it in a day, sadly.

Arkham City is the definite game to choose instead. Playing Revelations now and having started it, calling it a repeat of Brotherhood in another city is what I see it as so far. If you played Brotherhood, it would be this with a smaller amount of interesting characters.

Having seen from what my father played of Arkham City and how much he loves that game, I'd pick that one. Also, Revelations comes with a multiplayer code. I HATE multiplayer codes.

I miss Leo, damnit! Why couldn't he come over from Roma?

I have both games so if you want play time pick assassins creed but if you want quality pick Batman.one more thing batman and assassins creed both took me about 15 hours to complete. If I where you I would pick neither and get Battlefield 3.

PC or console? If PC, definitely Revelations, AC's optimization is utter crap on the PC.

Even overall I'd say Revelations as you'll simply get more playtime out of it. AC is fun, but doesn't last long, if you like both franchises, you'll get more fun out of Revelations in the end I think.

Why do I get the feeling you already know what your answer is from playing both and you're just waiting for someone to say how amazing it would be if they mixed Batman's fighting with Assassins Creed parkour?

I'm more then likely wrong I just wanted an excuse to say how amazing it would be for Batman to loose 100 pounds of muscle and start doing parkour in these games.

Oh yeah and Arkham City all da... All night long.
OK, you said it. A Batman styled gaming with assassinations. Gliding around and sneaking up on templars before you slit their throat and get out of there. I would totally buy that.

I would recommend Batman Arkham City. It was the runner up for my Game of The Year in 2011.

Arkham City, there's really no contest.
captcha: not yet Yeah, maybe you should wait a little while before you buy it, because you'll probably be brutally killed by SolveMedia hired assassins.
