I am not a fan of Tobuscus but the Dead Space 2 trailer was very well done.DanielBrown said:Bleh, I've only seen one good Literal trailer parody, and that was for Assassins Creed: Brotherhood.
Considering how old Ezio is in Revelations, and the fact that when he has a kid, Desmond will start following the kid instead, I doubt we'll see much of Ezio after this. Hell, he might even vanish halfway through the game and you have to follow a completely new ancestor for the rest of the game.Astoria said:Yeah I agree. He deserves to go down fighting in a battle or something, no cheesy 'he disappeared' crap. This is definitely the last one with Ezio and Altair though which is good.DanielDeFig said:Agreed. I was kinda let down when I heard about Brotherhood, and very dissapointed when I heard about Revelations. I'm actually hoping/looking forward to Seeing him die, despite the fact that I love the character. We need confirmation ad proof that he's dead (nothing ambiguous where he "disappears" and is presumed dead. A decent stab through the heart, or death of old age would be good) before I let my hopes get too high about the next game.JoesshittyOs said:I don't know, I kinda had a falling out with the Assassin's Creed series after they announced that this was going to be yet another game starring Ezio.
A cool character and all, but with a game like Assassin's Creed that literally has History as a setting, I'm still rather disappointed that they won't try some new time period.
I don't think it'll involve anything with his kid/s. The developers said that Desmond is the link between several assassin bloodlines so the next game will probably be a completely different assassin that hasn't even heard of Ezio and Altair. I think I read somewhere that you play as Altair through parts of the game but it's mostly Ezio and occasionally Desmond. Lots of people have been asking for a female assassin next so it hopefully will be.Kopikatsu said:Considering how old Ezio is in Revelations, and the fact that when he has a kid, Desmond will start following the kid instead, I doubt we'll see much of Ezio after this. Or it just defaults back to Altair for some reason. Whichever.
Edit: I appreciate that Altair is super badass, but MUST we keep playing as him/Ezio? I'd like someone new. Preferably someone female. Then we could get cool acrobatic swordplay...
I don't think it will either, that's why I said mentioned the following a completely new ancestor...Astoria said:I don't think it'll involve anything with his kid/s. Oh and the hook blade is still a blade, the hook being about half way down the blade, he uses it to hook on to ropes strung between roof tops, and to climb quicker.
Whilst I admit that a female protag is needed in the franchise, I have to say that you should be able to choose between genders for a protagonist. In the next game, for example, you might follow two Assassins, one male, the other female, but you'd get to pick which one you played. I'd love to see that.Astoria said:I don't think it'll involve anything with his kid/s. As for other Assassins in general, maybe in a future game, we'll get to play as Nicolai.

When I said 'Desmond will start following the kid instead', I didn't mean to imply that you would play as Ezio's kid. Just that he would go further down the DNA chain to someone else. That's how it worked with Altair.
...I have even less of an idea how the whole DNA memory thing works now.Astoria said:Kopikatsu said:I don't think it will either, that's why I said mentioned the following a completely new ancestor...Astoria said:I don't think it'll involve anything with his kid/s. However, I do take issue with the "Desmond's Story" side missions. Yes, I like the extra character background, but the choice of presenting it via a first-person physics puzzle platformer with iffy controls was a definite misstep.
Well, I could think of a few ways in which the female campaign would be different...Astoria said:[-snipped-]

That actually sounds pretty good. The campaign would be slightly different to avoid seeming too repetitive though, maybe each assassin has their own way of getting things done or something.Spartan448 said:Well, I could think of a few ways in which the female campaign would be different...Astoria said:[-snipped-]

But in all seriousness, it would really be just the same campaign, maybe a bit like the concept in "Army of Two" (Though hopefully MUCH more well done) where it's the same game, but depending on which character you picked, the voice acting and character model of the NPC currently preforming a double-assassination with you are a bit different.
It would also open the game up to Split-Screen or System Link Co-op on the 360, and PSN, XBox Live, and internet Co-op on those respective systems, with people on your friends list (because if you just do it with random people from the internet, no one will get anywhere.), which is something I think could really add to gameplay. I personally have many friends who can't get the game because they don't have a 360, or for other reasons, who would love to be able to experience the game through a co-op environment.
