Then again, I basically have no presence whatsoever on the PSN. I don't even have anyone of my friends list.

Now that I think about it, I haven't really gotten any spam for the past three or four years.

I bought a Playstation 3 about 8 months ago and I have been enjoying it a lot except for one thing. I get these stupid spam and chain messages from people I dont even know every day that read like "We here at Playstation would like to thank you for supporting our company. We would like to reward you with $200 in your Playstation account. All you have to do is send this message to everyone on your friends list and you will receive your reward." If Playstation was 100% serious about this wouldn't they just send that message to everyone and not require people to send it to other people? The one that really get me mad are ones that start out with, "Hi, I'm Kevin Butler.....". Do people not realize that KB isn't a real people but an actor who in no way owns any part of the company?
So I thought I would ask other people to see if they are getting as much spam as me.

The thing is, it's a chain email, the same as the one's that say "hey I'm the CEO of Viagra and I want to send you a free lifetime supply, all you have to do is . . ." it's bullshit, just ignore it and if possible mark it as spam so it gets blocked from here on out.

And it's not that people are sending spam from KB because THEY think he is real, they're hoping to prey on people that are stupid thinking he is real, the same kinds that would take that chain email claiming $200 will be sent to them and actually sent it to everyone in their friends list.

I have never got spam on my current email account.

Says a lot about you and your use of your address.

^That's absolutely true.

I've had my main email account for close to a decade now.
My total spam amounts can be counted in the tens, (at absolute most, 30 messages).
Having to click *delete* or *mark as spam* only 30 times in a decade. Dead serious.

It's all about knowing what to use your account for, and who to give it to.

(My other family members have to delete upwards of 200 spam emails per month, and they still wonder how I do it.)

I have never gotten anything like that. (Xbox360) Although I have had occasional MTAFARP messages (message to all friends and recent players), they're usually just people asking me to join their clan. Although they occur less frequently now that I've stopped playing CoD so much.

Back when I used to play a lot, I could get upwards of 5 on a bad day. they were usually Halo 3 based "send this to all your friends to get recon" if I remember rightly. I haven't touched Xbox live in months though

Ive owned a ps3 since release and have never gotten a single piece of it, nor have any of my friends. I have no idea what your talking about.

I've only ever gotten spam once or twice. Mostly my inbox consists of hatemail from CoD players.

Anyway, spam mail is spam mail. Whether its email, text messages, or PSN messages--people will find a way to piss you off.
