Yeah, I've had a few gay guys hit on me. One even asked me out. I gracefully declined. But then here is my bugbear, they never STOP pursuing me. It annoys the ass out of me, because i'm just not into men.

I'm lucky that I seem to have avoided this problem for the most part.

Aside from one guy in my high school, but he could have been just messing with me. I really don't know. Then again, practically the whole school was under the false impression I was gay because I really did not give a rats ass about girls and sex.

Sex. You mean "sex." You attract attention from the wrong SEX. Will people please stop using anthropological terms in ways they were not meant to be used!
Gender can mean sex. Just like with many words in the English language, it has multiple meanings.
actually they are not the samething

sex is a biological construct determining whether you have to Xs or a Y chromosome, you use the words Male or Female in this case

Gender is a social construction whether you're a man or a women and what role you play in society
You don't seem to be very good at reading. I'll help you out here and highlight the part you missed.

it has multiple meanings
See that? I never said that they always mean the same thing. Just that the word has multiple meanings, and can be used as another word for sex. So yes, the OP did use the word correctly, and people can't say that that meaning is wrong just because they don't like that definition of the word.

I've attracted both genders. Well, in a way. The two girls who've hit on me basically just wanted to know if I was available for some what in Swedish is called KK or "kompis knull". I suppose that translates into "friendly fuck"?
Friends with benefits?

OT: I'm not really sure. I don't really seem to get much attention form either gender. Maybe i'm just so damn attractive they become intimidated and doesn't dare to speak to me in fear of making themselves look bad :D

Totally not pretentious >_>

In all seriousness, i've never experienced any issues with attracting the "wrong" gender.

If I have attracted attention of another man, I don't think I've noticed. I have a strange blind spot to people coming on to me, where I'll not notice it at all or it's just dismiss it as me being big headed and thinking everyone wants me. All to often I will have a nice chat with a girl, not notice them flirting, come home without their number, only to be sitting there for few hours to have the sudden realisation that they where coming on to me after all. Oh well at least I can at least I can laugh at my own absent mindedness :D

OT: I don't get attention from either sex, 'cept for online ;-; It's just not the same, y'know?

I attract girls, more on that in a moment, which is good since I am straight as far as I can tell. I did have a Gay roommate last year though, we got along pretty well.

Like many have said before me, I attract almost nobody, male of female... almost
I seem to have a talent for attracting the crazy girls... like cheshire cat grin crazy. Now I admit I am a bit crazy as well and I like girls that are a little random but these girls that come up to me just shoot me out of my comfort zone with a freaking cannon.

hm, I can't say entirely "wrong" since I'm not entirly sure I know my own sexuality for sure yet, or if I ever will, but so far I've mainly been interested in men.
anw, I appearently go well with german lesbians, in sweden I ahd never had that "problem" but then I went to berlin and I get surrounded by lesbians of various ages that hit on me (was 15)
and when I came back to Sweden the trend didn't stop.
the most awkward time was when my best friend kissed me, not because I don't believe in the possibility that I could fall for a woman, but because I really really really didn't find her attractive, rather the opposite actually...

my boyfriend has this "problem" as well, or.. well he would have if he wasn't so completely socially blind, everyone hits on him no matter the sexuality or gender, but he never ever see this.
and then he comes to me whining that I am so much more attractive than him since no one ever hits on him and I just feel like punching him in the face.

it was kind of funny the other weekend when me and my friends went out to this medival bar and suddenly this really really gay looking guy is standing by our table and he tells me my boyfriend has to be gay, because appearently he looks totally gay.
then he notices one of my friends and tells him "you look like totally straight! I prefere straight men. because I want a real man, you know?" and this guy spent the rest of the night hitting on my straight friend asking him all kinds of creepy questions...

Oh i have no such issue, since i attract no gender at all.
I'm in the same boat and I wouldn't have it any other way.
OT: Don't worry about who you attract. Sometimes people just might like the look of you. Whatever the situation. :)

First I shall add to your count of gay dudes that show 'attention' to you by saying this: god damn you're cute!

Now, onto new business: yes. All the damn time. I had been lead to believe that women, by and large, like... well, manly guys. But apparently a lot of women find me desirable despite the whole "very obviously gay and pretty damn feminine" thing.

It's actually kind of hilarious. Like, when I'm out with my friends (who are all the type of macho dudes you normally see getting on quite a lot) more often than not women show me the most attention. It's unsettling but it's also damn funny seeing my friends' reactions.

i attract the "right" so to speak, gender, men. even though, im a lesbian and have no interest. Strange how that works though, its like people have a homing beacon to the people that DONT have any interest in them.

a little off topic, but why are men attracted to women that by definition, have no interest in them?
I think its the challenge thing, the harder it is to get someone the more fun it is ? If your a guy and manage to land a lesbian then well you win a cookie i guess.

To OT iv only been hit on by two gay guys in my life so i guess i got lucky as its I find it really akward turning people down however i get very little luck with the sex iam actually intrested in ;).

I've had two guys try and hit on me. One was more persistent, and I know him. I dislike him intensely, he's one of those guys that spends way too much time in the gym and has a massive ego. I really don't know what you can do except tell them you're straight, but it's not like I attract more guys than girls, so I'm sure I can live with it.

Snip

What the hell? I'm not even a lipstick lesbian. I'm scrawny and flat-chested, have super-short hair, tattoos, piercings, and usually am wearing a tank, ratty jeans, and steel-toed boots. And I smoke. I do not understand.

snip
Well except for the smoking part I can find that quite attractiv(as a straight male).
Not all men find the "hot" girl attractive.

EDIT: OT can't say that I have attracted that many people at all but at least I am in a stable 5 year relationship.

One of my friends gets constantly hit on by gay guys, which is kind amusing since he is a little akward and gets kinda distressed. He's had some women hit on him too though so he survives.

For me, I can make friends with literally almost any human walking this earth. I swear, if i'm out at a bar and i sit down at a table where i don't know all the people they throw their handshakes my way. Not to mention getting showered in free smokes and drink sips.

But i can only think of one instance when i have been hit on. Either i'm totally oblivious or i somehow come off as incredibly platonic.

Several people have told me that i look like a cross-breed between Matt Damon and Eminem however. But i'm not sure if that is an insult, a compliment or just a statement.

Yup I've gotten it all, the gay wink, the gay stare, the gay eyefuck, the uncomfortable situation where they slowly stick their tongue out before popping a potato chip in their mouth.*shudder* Hell I could break it down by the peculiarities of each race. My brother says I have 'that look'. Whatever that means.

I have a neighbor in my apartment complex, steeped in gay. I try to be nice, I say 'How's it going?'. And what does he do? 'HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!' with a stereotypical gay inflection.

It's cuz of them that I know what women have to go through and why they're such bitches some times.

1. Guys do the dumbest things to get your attention

2. Guys don't stop, even if there's no chance

3. Guys are dumb as shit just in general

4. Guys are uncomfortable to be around, cuz they're just thinking about fucking you.

5. It's fun to mess with them(especially the in-the-closet ones), I have no remorse for this. I gave you every fucking clue that I'M NOT GAY and you're still eyefucking me. Now I gonna break your heart.(And I've done it)

6. When guys don't get what they want they get unhappy and unhappiness leads to some weird neurotic shit.

7. When it comes to relationships guys are probably MORE emotional than women. We just hide it through violence and anger or the weird neurotic shit I was talking about earlier.
