Ahh, the show for gamers by gamers.

An Australian TV show dedicated to gaming in all its forms, with reviews of brand new unreleased titles, articles and news on technology and the world of game design and development, and it's also pretty damn funny sometimes... And the host Hex is pretty hot... Just saying

For the most part their reviews are fairly unbiased (except for a bought of fanboyism here and there... I'm looking at you, Bajo!) and they are entertaining and informative, with some good taste.

So, fellow Australian Gamers! Do you watch Good Game? If so, what do you think of it? If you don't watch it, why not?

i never used to cause i always forgot it was on but i started earlier this year when i realized while looking for something to watch after work one night that it was on iview on the ps3 and started watching it every week since

There's always something better on to watch so no. If I have a lazy weekend I sometimes watch Cyber Shack though.

Sometimes, because that girl presenter is pretty good looking. The guy is alright, kind of annoying though. It's not bad, but for some reason I have this little voice in the back of my head arousing suspicion that they always sell out, and give games good review if they get paid well.

Not a very good gaming show though, they don't seem to know much about the games they play, it's like they played 15 minutes of it, then read it's article on Wikipedia.

No because I don't often watch television, but even when I do, I generally avoid that show. I find the presenters annoying, I don't know whether or not they actually play the games, but I find everything they say seems awkwardly forced. "Oh I like X, but it's not as good as (mispronounced classic Y)".

I stopped watching after they replaced Junglist with Hex, to be honest with you. Hex seems like an okay reviewer, but she was really only put there for the exact reason you've just stated - she's a hot girl who plays video games, which ABC thought meant that plenty more guys were going to watch the show. It could have worked, but I much preferred Junglist to Hex, and I've stopped watching it.

(fyi I am a girl gamer too and at first it was nice to see the females being represented, and I suppose that fiasco with Junglist being fired to make way for her might have clouded my vision, but I still preferred Junglist's style of reviewing to Hex's.)

I can't watch it. I constantly get the feel that it's not honest nor objective, it's not humorous to me and it's rather... annoying.

I wouldn't say it's bad though. I understand the appeal. I personally just hate it.

I agree, it was a really awfully shallow move on the part of the producers, but she has turned out really well. Just remember it wasn't her fault Junglist got the sack!!

But anyway, she knows her stuff and she's a good reviewer, but I agree, on a technical level Jung was far better...

No, I don't. Hex sometimes knows what she's talking about but the guy is just an idiot, for reasons already said plus he'll whinge about features in games that can be turned off or changed at will. Even worse, he'll base his final score on whatever the default everything is. They seem like a real 'play it for half an hour and we're done' bunch of reviewers.

They're also not very funny, despite trying really hard a lot of the time. It can be really embarassing sometimes. Other times it borders on pathetic.

That said I have a friend who loves it. Whenever he shows me an episode they bring up a game and I'll say 'oh yeah I heard that game was crap or this game was great for X Y and Z reasons', only to have the show say pretty much exactly the same thing a few moments later.

I Used to all the time.. but I dunno.. When Junglist Left, a real Sense of the hardcore section of the show kind of died :\ the chemistry between junglist and bajo was much more funnier than with hex, she's great and all, but I don't think those two know exactly how to be comfortable around each other :|
