Poll: Avatar or Name?

The plan was to use one of the defaults until I made a unique one, but I've grown so used to scrolling down looking for green to find my last post, that I can't possibly change it. I definitely match people to their pictures, mostly because it's easier to gage in the corner of my eye.

My avi is custom made, so I don't really see a reason to change it... unless I get a better one made for me.

Er...now that I think about it (since I wasn't really thinking when I was on earlier and changed it,) it's fairly easy to customise your own, even if all you have access to is something fairly simple/rudimentary like eLouai and M$ picture manager/imager. 'Swhat I used, anyway.

Also on topic, I dislike avatar changes, as little as possible would be nice... take NoMoreSanity, I'm always losing that boy.

Also, Danny Ocean's previous name was HBrutusH, christ man I'm glad you changed it.

The avatar is easier to remember than the name, not to mention I rarely see the same person twice so the name is useless to remember.

I do both. I will remember someone's name if I see them enough on the forums, but I remember them from their avatar mostly.

Too many people use this site for me to bother remembering
Occasionally I find someone who seems cool or an utter arse an remember them for a bit, but nothing really sticks.

A mixture of both. If you've been here long enough, it would be a bit odd to see you with a different avatar at first, but I remember your name so it's fine.

But newer members I only remember by avatar unless I see them often. I remember seeing a spew of Spike Spiegel avatars a few months back, that was pretty confusing.

I have a really bad memory when it comes to names, so I tend to recognize people by their avatar first, by their writing style second and lastly by there name. After having the same avatar for over 10 years I changed it to Vault Boy on this forum before realizing that many others have it, so I created one myself from a scanned manga.
