I voted Yes pretty much for shits and giggles. I'd love to have those shirts from DHMo_Org though...

Didn't they do this joke on a show? Oh wait the spoiler told me not to bring that up. Maybe you shouldn't steal other people's material and come up with something original to do, that way people won't bring up that this is old and already done.

So, even more interesting than this poll, is that there is a serious MSDS (material safety data sheet)in every lab I've worked in detailing how if exposed to this chemical, you should flush the area with water for 15 minutes. If you don't know what a MSDS is, it's essentially a detailed many page warning of why you should not f*** with this stuff.

Oh come on this is the oldest story they tell, I'll just select No on the poll and not that only

[HEADING=1]15% OF ESCAPIST USERS THINK IT SHOULD BE BANNED[/HEADING]

WHAAAAA-

Oh that is shameful.
It is very possible they did it for a laugh, I used to call it Hydric acid and freak out muppets.
Isn't it "hydroxilic acid"?

EDIT: In the future I should probably spend less than 3 hours reading other things before I hit the post button.

I heard the other day that 100% of stupid polls are likely to piss you off...

I get here ready to rip someone a new one, and then I see that it's even stupider than I thought.

As an experiment of any sort this is horrible methodologically in almost every way conceivable.

do something original pl0x

Your frustration sustains me. Actually I just wanted to see how the Escapist would respond to the prank.

I just checked the ingredients of the supposedly 100% natural orange juice I'm drinking. Guess what, DHMO.

This must end.

Penn and Teller did this on Bulls!&#. I think it was part of a segment about getting Hippies to sign anything.

Did you click the spoiler?
I didn't need to click the spoiler. I have a couple friends who are big science geeks who tried to pull this on me years ago. It is a good trick...
He was pointing out that he mentions the show in the spoiler.
Oh... Having not clicked on the Spoiler I obviously didn't see that... So... A lot of that Dihydrogen Monoxide is falling from the sky today. . . =)

It is both, hydric acid is less formal though, like vinegar v.s acetic acid v.s ethanoic acid.
