I hear rumors about 128player matches on PC.
Woah...woah....
woah! WHAT?! Where did you hear that?! That'd be...amazing! All I've heard is 64 on the PC and 32 on the consoles (for whatever stupid reason). 128... Man, that'd be awesome. Got a link?

anyone else feel the squad mechanic fell away after 2142?
Worked great in Bad Company 2 I must say.
Ehh... some of it was good. Giving some of the gadgets the squad leader had to individual classes instead helped with teamwork but removing the SL entirely got rid of any desire for squads to stick together as there's no need to protect this one guy when I can spawn off anybody. Of course now you can spawn off anybody in your squad which theoretically should keep you all together but more often than not results in people spawning and then wandering off to do their own thing. Also the smaller maps made spawning off squad mates less of a time saver which added to the fragmentation of squads.
Additionally nobody follows "orders" anymore. In 2142 the SL would place orders to attack a point and often people would follow them as they'd get point rewards and there was a big bloody line pointing you to the point. Now though they're a side-note. You still get extra points but more often than not me and my friends forget we can even issue orders.
Not to mention how squad voicechat is broken in BC2. Although it wasn't all that great in 2142 either.
As for the OP, well all I can say is "yay yay". I mean I'd get it even if it was just a prettier CoD with vehicles and 64p because I know all my friends will most likely get it regardless of how "battlefield-like" it is and then spend every match we play whining about it while we run around knifing people and quickscoping or whatever it is you do in CoD now. However it actually looks like a battlefield game (with CoD elements, Team Deathmatch *shudder)
Seriously though DICE, MAKE SQUAD VOICE CHAT WORK. If Valve can do it for a 12 man team you can bloody well get it going for 4 man squads.
