i'm glad there will be a hardcore mode..currently, at least in the pc version, you literally have to stuff somebodys carcass with lead until they fall over, it's just redicolous...but still, great fun, even though it is just a beta :) can't complain about the squad cooperation either, but that might be because i forced three friends to get the beta and play with me^^

In the Battlefield series, sniping takes far more skill than any other game out there, other than Sniper Elite of course. I love the fact that I have to account for bullet drop; it provides a whole lot more balance against the other classes.
How is there anymore skill in sniping, yes you have to account for bullet drop (or so you claim, just saying other people say it has been easier) but in other games you have to account for other factors. For example in MWF2 you account for the moving of the sniper with holding your breath, no wind factor. So while Battlefield accounts for wind it doesn't account for moving.

BC2 accounts for sway and bullet drop. To compare MW2 to this is just hilarious on your part. Here's my link of sniper gameplay again:

What are you talking about?

I think the removal of prone is a good idea. Taking into consideration the size of the maps and the amount of people complaining about snipers, don't you think it's a good idea a sniper can't lie down in a field on the opposite side of the map?

Removal of prone means that you can actually spot snipers, and with maps as big as the ones in this game it's fairly obvious that there will be balance issues with the sniper class.

I absolutly loved the demo of this game, and will be buying it asap! I do agree it's a bit weird not being able to lie down, but I guess that's to stop snipers from completly dominating the game. On the Xbox, helicopter controles are absolutly retarded and don't make a sceric of sense, but I'll assume that in the full game you can choose the configuration. vehicles as far as I've noticed are very well balanced, providing a challenge to overcome with teamwork, but never to the point of it seeming cheap and OP. Even the UAV's which have a devestating payload for such a small, high altitude vehicle, can be taken out by a good sniper with a few shots, and likewise, a good pilot can evade destruction just as easily.

Only thing that seems to me a little bit unbalanced is the tank machine gun. It's accuracy is pin point, it has quite a long range (with a zoom function) and being on a tank, is extremely difficult to neutralize. I was in a squad with 3 friends and we were all dedicated to the function and maintenence of this one tank for a whole round, me being on the gun, one driving, and 2 for repairs in the rear. We never died, and I got a total of 53 kills, 3 helicopters and 2 UAVs, just using the machine gun. Friend driving/cannoning killed 5 enemy tanks, and we never had issue because the two engineers hiding behind us tandem repaired.

I wouldn't really call this overpowered though, because unless you're with an organised group of friends this would NEVER happen. More often, people will drive their faces into the very center of action and be blown up instantly.

All in all, brilliant game, and I can't wait to get the full copy.

A tank, even with 2 engineers, won't survive longer than a minute if the other team isn't sleeping on their keyboards; all you need is some C4 :)

Do you think it's possible to get to rank 3 in the demo?
Considering that you need almost 5 million exp. and the demo/beta ends Feburary 24... definitely not. Also, I'm not sure if stats/unlocks carry over from the demo/beta.

Even if you played this thing 18 hours a day for the 28 days it's out(and with matches between 30 min.s to an hour), play around 34 matches and average at least 1000 exp and start playing the moment it came out on Jan. 28... You'd get just under a million (34000(exp)X28()days)=952,000).

Edit: Btw, does anyone know how to send DICE feedback?
