Poll: Battlefield vs. Call of Duty: which series do you prefer?

CoD is a lot of fun, especially WaW online. There's fewer noob tactics (because rifle grenade are shit) so it's much less frustrating. Especially when the maps are so great, the weapons are well balanced and all the dicks just play the latest CoD game.

I've got to agree with this - add in the fact that the majority of weapons only hold a handful of rounds, reload times are much longer, and weapons aren't exactly automatic - it bumps up the skill requirements and cuts down on things such as spray and pray tactics. Some of the side arms and killstreak awards are a little irritating, but every game has it's nuances.

Personally, though, I still prefer MW online versus BF2. Single player is bollocks, though.

Battlefield will, in my eyes, always be superior to CoD.

The multi-player is a hell of a lot better, much more tactical, can be a lot slower and more realistic. I don't like CoD's very quick, get-into-it way of doing multi-player, but then again i place a lot of emphasis on realism, i know that not everyone does.

I don't really care much for single-player when it comes to an FPS, MW and MW2 was a fun little 6 hours, but it's hardly substantial.

Also, the CoD online play, in my opinion, doesn't really promote team play. It's just 12 guys on one team doing their own thing and the team of the most experienced individuals wins. Battlefield has always had squad play where the people can stay cohesive, and i've seen many games that was going one way, slipping over to the other because one team had excellent teamwork and the other team didn't work together too well despite them being good players. For me, that is a really enjoyable experience, when you know just your squad of four is making a massive difference.

Also, BC2's graphics and sound are better than Black Ops in my opinion, the whole atmosphere of war is much more convincing than Black Ops.

I just picked up BC2 late last week for the first time, and oddly enough my reaction is the opposite of this. I think I much prefer the BF controls to COD. I feel like when I'm walking around in COD, it's so smooth that I'm practically on rails. BF I can FEEL the terrain. Plus the whole destructible environment thing is just stupid-awesome. No more a-hole camping snipers poking his head out the window for long... 'coz I'm just going to blow that whole wall up!

Yeah it's an awesome game. Sometimes if I'm in the mood I enjoy the control scheme a lot... the sound in Bad COmpany 2 is amazing too.

Couldn't find any games last night though

EA has been having server issues where it gives the message "no matches available" regardless of what matches are on. Try logging out of your psn/360 tag/PC, then log back in. Trust me, there are always games of BC2 going on

Yeah, for the last few days I haven't been able to find any servers in a search, it always returns (after a while) that it couldn't connect to EA online, however when i join a favourited server it goes in no problem. Strange.
