It would be nice. I always thought Battlefront's strongest point was it's modding community, there are some truly great maps out there, my personal favorite being the epic scale ones with hundreds of AI per side.

I really think there should be, but honestly, they can't really do anything new. Battlefront 2 pretty much had everything from Jedi to Space Battles. The only thing that would honestly change would be the graphics.
Of course they can do some new things! They have the whole freaking expanded universe to draw on! Hell they could just do a Clone Wars Battlefront and it could be great.

Of course. Battlefront 2 was such an epic shooter, I dont see why you wouldnt. OPen it up to seemless land/air/space battle and take in some of the Clone War battles and non canon things.

I want this game.

I want it NAO.

I hope to god the unsubstantiated rumours about it being announced in this year's E3 are somehow actually true.

Of note: Captcha tried to make me write a word in which one of the letter "a"s had a really weird accent I couldn't even recognise, much less type. When I refreshed, I got this.

Fuck you too, captcha.

Yes , I would love to see another one. It's pretty much one of few games (if not the only game) that combine vehicles and objective based multiplayer combat on a large scale.

Oh god, even if this came out as PS3 exclusive, I would buy a PS3 just to play this game. So many of me and my friend's precious hours have been sucked into that game. Of the joys of Heroes vs. Villains on Tatooine...

I think I may be one of the few people that enjoyed SWBF 1 more than 2. I found the space battles boring and frequently just parked myself near things and repaired them. Though I have to say the saving grace of BF2 was the 501st diary.

The only other thing I'd want to see in a new SWBF is a focused effort to ensure that the map balance issues aren't repeated.

You reminded me:
SWBF3 should include a Map Editor, where you create or edit an already made map. Little Big Planet has shown how a community can thrive off of customization alone.

Also, a specific feature that would be interesting in looking into is a "Survival" mode.
Let me explain:
You can create a map with editor, or pick your own/someone else's map. Then, using several developer tools, you can place units in certain areas of the field. You and your friends can then try to teamwork your way through the created swarm of enemies. That could lead to a 100+ raid of droidekas, jedi, tanks, jet-troopers. You could try doing a "Republic Commando" hold-off of a cluster of enemy classes and types.

It's just an idea, but I could enjoy that.
