Poll: Bayonetta, Disgaea, or Final Fantasy XIII

I've been waiting for the Swedish release of Final Fantasy XIII lately, but then a few friends of mine told me both that Bayonetta was a game well worth buying and that Disgaea 3 would propably be the greatest thing I'd ever buy (might just have been a hype from his side).

Only having money to buy one or maybe two of the games, I'd like to know what you think? Which one of the three should I buy?

Definately Disgaea 3 or XIII. They're both just as good as each other, though very different. If you love TBSRPG's go disgaea, like more active real time battles and fast paced action? go FFXIII.

I voted other, meaning anything BUT Final Fantasy 13. It's the worst RPG, and very nearly the worst game all-around that I've ever played. If you absolutely have to try it, then it's worth a rent, and nothing more. I don't understand how so many can continue to praise it. All you hear is that, "the story is great," or, "the story really sucked me in," and that's because the gameplay is non-existent so nobody can comment on it without saying something negative. You could literally just ignore all the buttons on your remote except "A," and get through the game just fine. Then of course you have your under-performing staff of voice actors, typical to most Final Fantasy games. I don't know how one element of a game could keep it from sinking for everyone else, but I refuse to let my standards for what constitutes a good game drop that low. It's like saying, "the game was horrible, but the music was good so I bought it day one and played through the entire thing three times." Why not just buy the soundtrack? Or in the case of Final Fantasy 13, why not just go read a good book instead? Then you'll have a great story without having to endure the horrible timing and tone of voice-acting gone wrong.

its turn based so there not really anything to say about the game play and the va wasn't that bad not sure why people hate it oh well guess I'll never know

Well, the only game from that selection which I've played is Bayonetta - and yeah, that game is a lot of fun, so that definitely would be a good choice.

However, since you've been waiting for FF XIII, I think it's best you go with that one.

Disgaea 3 is my favorite game in the series (and one of my favorite games of all time).
While I did thoroughly enjoy Final Fantasy 13 (It's easily my favorite since the SNES days, and sometimes I think I might even prefer it to them.), I have to recommend Disgaea 3 to anyone and everyone who would even hint at being interested in the game.

I've never played (or heard of) Disgaea 3 or any of the series.

Bayonetta, um.... aside from the dominatrix that is the protagonist, which is a minor annoyance (to me), there's some decent gameplay in this title. Worth a rent, at least.

FF13... this game's too long to count as a rental, in my opinion. Also, it's what's the OP has been waiting for.
