I don't have a beard, I don't really like them that much so I try to keep myself clean shaven. I don't mind if other men have beards if that's what they like but it's not my thing. You really have to have the face for it though. My Dad has a beard as do a few of my friends, and I think my dad looks good in it.

One thing I really don't think looks very good is a neckbeard. It just looks odd. Also if your going to get facial hair, keep it well maintained otherwise you just look like a hobo.

Beardless, but I don't shave against the grain because I love my five o'clock shadow.

Shaving makes me look 20 years younger. No lie. Too bad I frikkin' hate shaving.

But the wimmens like me clean, fresh and young-looking.

Edit: @Kebab - I will see your douche sir, and raise you a pair of hairy ears.
... well, maybe I'm a troll?

It depends on the lady. My wife looks lovely with her beard, but my aunt...Oh, wait, I misread the OP. Sorry.

I am rocking the goatee. All of the people I have polled say I look bitchin' with the beard.

Here is why having a beard is win:
1. When you become a man, you grow facial hair. It is supposed to be on your face when you become a man. How much you have, is entirely your choice.
2. Thor has a beard. If its good enough for the God of Thunder, its good enough for me.
3. I look 5 years younger without my beard. I hate looking like a 16 year old retarded kid.

And that is why beards are ftw.
Whether you have a tiny bit of stubble, or the Gandalf beard, facial hair is FTW.

I am fully bearded throughout most of the year, in the summer months I shave down to a horseshoe moustache, as I have found that a full beard in the heat is quite uncomfortable.

As a man, a beard is manly and all powerful. But from my experience with woman, clean shaven is more often preferred so bye bye beard.

Facial hair rules. Now, although this isn't technically a beard, but rather a mustache, this doesn't really count, but I would just like to say that the "friendly mutton-chop mustache" is the most bad-ass motherfuckin' thing you can have on your face.

NOTE: This isn't me. I just found this pic on the internet.

Tell me that isn't fucking amazing.

Beards are only worth having unless they are properly maintained. If this cannot be achieved, then shaving is a must.

I'm trying to grow something of a goatee, but my facial hair is just way too light. However the hair atop my head has now decided it wants to be a dirty blond colour whilst my facial hair is adamant to remain Milky Bar Kid white.

Forunately my woman likes a little scruff.

I currently have a thick beard, but that is mostly from the plumbing in my house being six kinds of fucked at the moment. Generally I like to keep it short to hide the grey hairs. I definitely get more salt when the beard gets longer. As for shaving, yeah that is a pain in the arse I don't miss.

I do love a good beard. I'm incapable of growing one myself (it grows very sparse on my cheeks), so I stick to a moustache/goatee combo (think Orlando Bloom in almost every movie he's ever been in).

I really love a good moustache though. I believe that a mans manliness can be measured by how epic a moustache he grows.

Unfortunately, beards are deemed 'unprofessional' in my line of work (primary school teacher) and my face must be clean shaved or I get in trouble.

I dunno what women prefer, but I find myself keeping a Perma Stubble [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/PermaStubble] A full on beard makes me look like I'm in my 50's, while going clean-shaven makes me look like I'm 16 (to paraphrase a female friend of mine).
