Here are ten reasons why this is so:

As a man myself? No way in hell! I have a strong dislike of having a bear to the point where I shave every day even if I don't have to, just to make sure any possible traces of having one are gone.

As someone who likes men? Also no way in hell. Sure there are exceptions but it's incredibly rare that I find someone with a beard attractive.

SO won't allow a beard, plus I'm skewbald so unless I dyed it I'd end up looking like I've got a calico stapled to my chin.

Should maaaaaybe have limited voting to the females, as male bias is going go make your results all screwy when it comes to finding out "what the ladies dig". And yes, there have been men voting in your poll, lots of them.

This is a bad place to pose such a question anyway, because you have a very limited audience of grrrrrrlz, and an overwhelming male audience is definately going to give you some form of beard-bias.

And Also, I shave. Clean shaven all the time, a tiny bit of chin-stubble if I get lazy.

Captcha: ecifro regularly. Whatever ecifro-ing is, be sure to make it a part of your daily routine.

Hate all facial hair. It can go and tickle faces in hell, for all I care- and guess what, beard lovers? I'm going to raise my kids to believe the same thing. Oh, you can't possibly win, facing this brilliance.

I have been in a constant state of beard for over a year, and will continue to do so for, oh say, ever. I really can't stand not having a beard. I actually don't feel like I look like myself without one. I do keep it trim though, and shave my neck.

I tend to like clean-shaven blokes, but a little stubble is sometimes a little sexy. Too much stubble can look a bit scruffy though. And tickle.

My guy can only grow facial hair when I'm away - gets in the way of kissing and the hairy look doesn't do anything for me.

Beards are only worth having unless they are properly maintained. If this cannot be achieved, then shaving is a must.
One would have to define "properly maintained". In the first week of November, I stop shaving completely, and only trim if it becomes apparent that my moustache is going to be visibly longer than the beard that grows in. When all is said and done, my facial hair goes all the way down to mid-chest. I wash it when I was my hair, and remove food immediately when it becomes stuck. When I go out somewhere that requires a more formal look (or when at work) I braid it, but otherwise it remains free. Now, I know some may differ, but I'd call that properly maintained.

I think it depends on the person. I go clean shaven at the moment. because my facial hair is very patchy at the moment and it just doesn't suit me. Although if I could, I'd grow a goatee but for the time being facial hair really doesn't do me any favours.

I wish I could grow a beard :( but the tiny bit of Native American in me makes it come in all patchy :(

Well my girlfriend says she doesn't like too much hair on a man but I have a full beard and she doesn't mind it as long as I trim it regularly (I don't)

I don't really give a crap and even if I did it doesn't matter, I couldn't grow a beard If I wanted to, the best I can manage is a pathetic, sparse goatee.
