yeah, coldfrog has it right, different temps for different beers. Ice cold pilsner, warmer IPA's and stouts. But, most is up to personal taste. Hell, I like my merlot ice cold, and that's damn near sinful. Ummm, Upland Wheat...gotta go!

It also depends on the atmosphere. After a hard days work under the 36ºC sun with 100% humidity, an ice cold beer goes down a real treat. But on the other hand, walking into a cozy pub from below freezing winter weather, a warm guiness really hits the spot.

I'm a cider child, which suits my Devonshire roots I guess, so I prefer them cold.

I once left a sixpack out in -10 celsius for about one and a half hours, and it tasted quite flat afterwards. But taste under such circumstances may vary from different brands of beer, I suppose

Nothing beats a cool, crisp Magners or Kopparberg at the end of a fooked up week.

It depends on what you're drinking. Stout, Lager, Ale- they all taste better at different temps and they can taste like piss if you drink it at the wrong temp.

Cold-to-icy for me, but that's because I tend to favour the beers best served cold (pilsners, lagers, dark ales) over those best served warm (pale ale, stout, bitters, etc.)

Thanks to new year's, I'm now sipping on a "sham"pagne cocktail to try to finish the last opened bottle off before it goes totally flat. (Yay, decadance!) That, my friends, also needs to be served icy... warm (and therefor flat) champagne is dreadful.

I drink it cold. I'm a guy who drinks full strength beer. There are two beers I would usually buy: Carlton Draught Stubbies or some VB tinnies. Sometimes I deviate but that is an uncommon occurrence. If I'm not drinking beer then you'll find me with scotch or a $5 bottle of red in my hand..
