I never understood people who say "Eww you drink *enter beer brand*?!? Naw man, *enter a different beer brand* is the best tasting."

They all taste like soda water with a bitter after taste to me.
You don't understand it because your palate can't tell the difference, I know this is a stretch to the imagination but some people actually have a different opinions to their peers, madness I know!.

Its one of those agree to disagree or maybe a live and let live situation, you don't take my precious Hoegaarden and I'll let you live, simple.
I'll stress the part where I said "They all taste like soda water with a bitter after taste TO MEEEE". I know people say there's a difference, and there obviously has to be, or else there wouldn't be so many brands. But I'm just saying it tastes like bitter soda water to me.

Where do you have to go to get charged 12 quid a pint? I thought £4:80 for a pint of Leffe was insane enough.
London, Hoegaarden is over 5 pounds a pint (central london it just gets worse), I found a place that had Frulli for 8 pounds, but that shut down due to the economy.

Yeah and you also said you don't understand why, so I told you the case.

Are you my girlfriend?, asking a question that you don't actually the answer too. (I'll admit I answered in a snide way, but still!)

Fuck it, look I'm sorry I left the toilet seat up ok.

Pinky best friends?

Norwegian AASS for me please! If you don't have that, I'll settle for a Carlsberg.

Scandinavian beer owns.

Despite being British I actually picked Budweiser. After many years of sampling as many beers as I can get my hands on it has emerged as my favourite lager. I will drink most other beers though, I'm not too fussy. I am really starting to appreciate a good ale or bitter though. Far too many of those to choose from, considering pubs are all affiliated with different breweries, not to mention the countless "special" beers that come around every now and then.

Since it's world cup season though, I will be drinking only Carling and John Smiths for the next few weeks.

Whenever I get beer, its usually Newcastle ale. Love the stuff.

When I go out to bars though, I get a local microbrew to try it out, or some Guinness.
As fun as pub crawls and everything are- I still prefer drinking beer on a quiet night with friends, it goes great with a lot of food

My heartfelt sympathies, that makes me so, so, so glad that I don't live in London.

I usually go for local brews like Greene King IPA or Elgoods. Nothing like a good luke warm English beer :D

I just drink whatever the bar serves when I ask for a beer. At home I only drink wine and whiskey.

I like the more expensive brands.

When I drink that is, it's not much of a priority to have booze all the time.

I've been drinking this god-awful Finnish shit called Saku for the past few weeks because all the good beer costs way to much because of the Icelandic economic crisis. It's still beer, and it does the trick, but damn i miss being able to buy a Víking Gull (e. Viking Gold) once in a while and not get fucking bankrupt by it.

The beer I drink can be separated into two categories: upscale microbrews, and really small, really cheap microbrews. I drink the former when I want to enjoy a beer and the latter when I want to have a party.

If I'm out at a pub, I'll have whatever cask ale they've got on. If they've got several and I've never tried them before, I'll make an afternoon of it.

Long-time faves on the cask front include Riggwelter, Summer Lightning and Blandford Fly.

On the non-beer front I've been enjoying Wychwood Green Goblin cider and Crabbies 4% Ginger Beer. Both of those are divine.

I'll have what he's having. Or maybe a guiness. I'm not entirely sure what's being suggested in the poll, as I wouldn't count any of those alcoholic beverages as beer. Especially not budweiser. It's just awful...

Maybe it's because I'm British?

I prefer an ale or a bitter. Lager is... well, it isn't exactly a great taste. The reason why lagers are served ice cold is because it overwhelms most of the taste and just leaves you with 'cold and refreshing'. Hence, ales are served at room temperature, to preserve the flavour. Fortunately, I live in a brewing town, so there's no shortage of choice around here. My regular does a fine pint of Hobgoblin, which always goes down well of an afternoon.

Although to be honest, I'm quite partial to a decent single malt.
