Out of the ones listed I'll have to go with The Dark Knight, but my personal favourite is still Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, which was one of the earliest movies I went to see in the theaters. I found my DVD copy a little while ago and re-watched it and I'm proud to say that it still holds up as a great movie for kids, and an even better one for adults who now have an understanding and context for all the adult things going on in the movie (alcohol, sex, bachelor living, etc.) that the movie had present but never felt the need to dwell on. If you haven't seen it, you will definitely want to search it out, it's well worth your time and money.

I grew up on the DC animated universe, so when it comes to live action films, Burton's batman /is/ Batman, in a way that Nolan's batman never will be. As good as they are as movies, it has the same problem that a lot of the superhero movies that came out in the early 2000's did: it was embarrassed by its comic book roots. Burton's batman embraced them in a way I really want to see happen again. This is also the reason I prefer The Avengers and its leadup films to the Nolan films. Again, the Nolan films are great movies, I'm not disputing that in the slightest. It's just that they could be better adaptations.

Captcha: Choose DISH

Dish, I would gladly switch to satellite if I didn't live in a place where it storms almost daily during the summer. Figure out a way to keep storm clouds from blocking your transmissions, and your prices (which are much lower than what the cable company charges) will get me to switch. But I won't do it as long as reliability is an issue.

Mask of the phantasm is the best. It tells the batman origin in a unique way and even throws in a twist that gives the dcau a totally new perspective. Batman had a chance at a normal life, but after circumstances that tied into the plot of the film, he gives up on his chance at happiness and sacrifices himself to becoming batman.

Of the live action films, batman begins or batman Tim burton.
