Poll: Best Final Fantasy game ever? (between VII and IIX)

What do you think is the best final fantasy Game? Best Story, best characters, best combat whatever your reason, which one wins?

Well, the only FF games I've played are FFIII (That is, the Japanese FFIII, not FFVI rereleased as FFIII), FFIV, Tactics Advance and Crystal Chronicles (the DS one). None of those fit the poll. My favourite is Tactics Advance, in which I have clocked more hours than any handheld game, with the possible exception of Pokemon.

FFVII because it was the first one I played. It left a great impression on me, even though some of the others are better in many ways (FF3, 6 or 8, even 9) and were better overall games 7 is the one I played first.

I guess by that logic if I played another one first it would have been my favourite, maybe not.

Chrono Trigger still tops them all though, and Xenogears.

FFX for me, closely followed by VI. The story, characters and worlds were fantastic in both of those, even if Tidus was a douche and Blitzball was the pinnacle of boring sports to play.

VIII was pretty good, but short.
IX never played
X Only good thing was the summons you could 'control'
X-2 WTF is this Shit.
XII Dont change a good battle system

VI was the single greatest FF game out of them, why would you leave it out of the poll?

If I had to pick one from THAT list though, I'd say VII or X, (I can't decide).

Also, I think you messed up your research, there is no Final Fantasy X-2, there is though, Final Fanservice X-2.. I don't recommend it.
