I'll have to go with the birds since it's the only Alfred Hitchcock movie I've seen.

I've only seen North by Northwest, but it sits in my favorite movies of all time list. Best Comedy/Adventure/Mystery EVER!

Well, I'm obviously going to side with 'Rear Window'.

For the record when I took film studies back in the day I did my thesis on 'The Birds' and how Hitchcock used them as a metaphor for deconstructing the stereotypes and conventions of the plot. It was the best depiction of chaos and disorder I've ever seen.

I'd side with Psycho, Rear Window or North by Northwest. That said, even though it was a joint decision it was a close call.

Blimey, this is the biggest Thread Necromancy ever, Annie! (Can I call you Annie?) That's my first ever post up there! Which I apparently posted before joining... Hmm, I detect shenanigans.
I have to admit, I think this sets a record. Eight months, eighteen days, five hours and fourty-eight minutes. Is anyone writing this down?

Probably Psycho. I'm not one for horror films but with great pacing, the twists and a ton of memorable scenes, it's just a splendid watch all the way through. North by Northwest is also fantastic, though I felt it dragged on a wee bit at the end. I haven't seen Rear Window in a while, but I remember that I loved it ,same with the Birds.

By the way, what's up with the quotation marks in the thread title? Hitchcock was his real name, y'know.

My head say vertigo, it's the best written and the performance are good to a man. James Strewart especially. So that's where the vote went.

But my heart says Psycho. For a film with almost no blood and only a few seconds of violence, it doesn't half make me jump...
