A toss up between Jax & Daxter and the Last of Us. Played Uncharted 1 (bought cheap) and 2 (rented), but I wasn't sucked in enough to get excited about 3.

Really tempted to buy the HD re-release of the J&D but I've got enough games on the backlog already that need finishing.
As much as I liked the story and character's from the Last of Us, I don't want to see it made into a long story of the two characters. I'd like to see an I Am Legend-esc story set in that world through another characters perspective, hopefully a female one (just for the sake of novelty).

As much as people grumble and moan about Naughty Dog's exclusivity to Sony; I can always expect a high degree of quality to the finished product. It also feels a bit special too, in a stupid kind of way. Just imagine if Halo wasn't exclusive to the Xbox, or Gears of War, or Mass Eff-... never mind.

I've only played Crash 3, and yeah, it was actually really fun. Nice platforming, memorable characters, really good humor. But, The Last of Us is just too fucking good. Incredible designs, heart wrenching story and THE BEST character interaction I've seen in any game ever.

Kinda hard to compare games like Crash Bandicoot and The Last of Us, they both excel in different areas.

If I were to choose though, it's probably a tie between the Crash series and the Jak and Daxter series.

Crash Bandicoot 2 was pretty much THE game that got me into gaming. I loved the music, levels, enemies, ect. It was a blast.

The Jak and Daxter series was cool too. Unfortunately, Jak 2 I felt sorta faltered a bit due to it's large difficulty spikes and bad checkpoint placement.

Crash Team Racing was really fun. Probably the very first game I've played with three other people. There was this weird controller port extension we had to use because the PS1 itself only had two controller ports.

I haven't played any of Naughty Dog's other IP's, but The Last of Us looks very good.

I went with Uncharted 2 because it's one of my all time favourite games, there are just so many good memories associated with it and it's got the best opening of any game ever (and climbing to the top of that skyscraper with the swimming pool, and the train level... etc) but I haven't played the Last of Us to compare.

Crash Bandicoot was...okay? I wasn't a huge fan of those games, and if you remove the nostalgia filter and asked me to buy a brand new 45 pound AAA Crash Bandicoot, I'd laugh because that sort of gameplay is completely irrelevant to me now and holds no attraction.

Jak and Daxter was pretty fun though. But not close to Uncharted territory

I voted Uncharted 2, that game just did everything so well, and while Last of Us is simply amazing, Uncharted 2 feels great. The rest of the Uncharted series is good, but if Uncharted 2 was only on the same level as the other two Uncharted games, I would say Last of Us. I should note that I haven't played any other Naughty Dog games/series.

Crash 3 was always one of my favorite games growing up, and if I could find the old disk, still today. It was also the only Crash game I ever 100%. Crash 2 was good though I didn't really care for 1 (likely because 2 and 3 were such improvements [except the Pinstripe boss was amazing!]). CTR was also a really fun kart racer, but I can't put it above the Crash series though. I never played Jak and Dexter or Uncharted, and only watched someone else play TLoU. So Crash it is!

Crash Team Racing was basically my childhood. Still better than so many games out there. Second up would probably be Last of Us if for no other reason than it's maturity.

The Jak series, hands down. With Jak II: Renegade not only being one of the best games made by Naughty Dog, but one of the best games made, period.

A solid mash-up of genres (action, adventure, platformer, racer, shooter), timeless cartoony visual style, enjoyable story with tons of humor and a great way to present a world (open world mixed with gates to more linear stages, offering the best of both worlds). Everything worked together harmoniously - and on top of that, it actually had some challenge to it.

They don't make games like these anymore...

(On a side note, I also liked the Crash Bandicoot series, didn't like the Uncharted series and haven't gotten around to playing Last of Us.)

The crash games definitely. I'd absolutely LOVE to see another iteration in that series done by Naughty Dog. Also, CTR was a damn good racing game.

One of my first video games was Jak 2 when my parents decided to get us a PS2. I didn't play much of the other titles in the list so that series gets my vote. As someone who was new to gaming I really felt the rollercoaster difficulty curve, only I couldn't explain it that way back then.

Here's the thing... I have a great love for the Jak & Daxter games, primarily Jak 2 and 3. But the controls in those games are so fucking abysmal, I can't with a clear conscience choose them. Jak 2 in particular was a goddamn nightmare.

The Crash trilogy was okay.

Uncharted 2 was very good, but over time and with Uncharted 3 sucking as much as it did, it's fallen out of my favour.

So I guess that leaves The Last of Us, which is really damn good, but is a bit too fresh in my memory to declare their best yet. Though it probably is.

I loved the Jak and Daxter series as well as the Crash Bandicoot series, but the ol' Bandicoot got my vote due to nostalgia. I played it so much, and have recently gone through the second one and finished it 100%. The Last of Us doesn't interest me as much as those two did, probably because it looks like yet another 'gritty quasi-realistic zombie game' that has come out in the last few years. The story (which I read on Wikipedia) seemed okay, but so do quite a few other stories that I've read from Wikipedia. Uncharted NEVER interested me at all, so it got not a single thouyght in my mind to the poll.

NOTE: Before you think of typing an angry, strong worded comment, in reply to my comments about The Last of Us, please note that I've no plans to even get a PS3, no desire to play The Last of Us (even if it did get ported to PC) or any other thing. Yes, you are entitled to like it, but I don't want or care about a lecture that will be calling me out as just some jerk who doesn't know what a 'good game' is. Also, I don't care what I'm apparently 'missing out on'.

You mean the game that was annoyingly difficult?
No, I mean the game that actually had the balls to provide a little bit of challenge. Let me guess, you're not a big fan of Super Meat Boy or The Binding of Isaac either?

It handled the sandbox like crap, there's not much to do and it's way too easy to accidentally hit a cop and get a wanted level (so to speak).

The vehicles they expect you to race and have checkpoint challenges in have a hard time turning while going over 4 mph. It's hard to believe these are the same guys that made Crash Team Racing.

I played it for the first time in the past year, I don't think it holds up all that well.
Who ever said anything about sandbox? I didn't, the developers didn't, I can't really recall any reviewers that did. It's an open world, not a sandbox. It's a continuation of a platformer series, not a GTA-wannabe. It's meant to set the atmosphere, to give some freedom, to cement the setting of a walled city with a population stuck in different social classes. And accidentally hitting a Krimson Guard? Oh no, whatever shall we do? It's not like you can just keep fleeing and they'll be gone in about two minutes tops.

The only thing I'll give you is that the way vehicles handle is done much better in Jak 3 (and even more so in Jak X). But that's it - and it's not like racing is THE biggest thing within Jak II.

And I don't see you complaining about the humor, hover board, weapons mechanic, platforming section, puzzles or anything else. Just "open world isn't like GTA or Saints Row, boo!" and "Vehicles don't handle like a Mario Kart rip-off I liked when I was a kid, boo!"
