Ive been sitting all morning in a good awful training scheme because im unemployed and i was thinking to myself out of all the Resi Evil games which one is the best , what do yhu think is the best Resi game and why ? ( The reason I didnt put Outbreak was because i feel it was a good game for online but a good game should be able to stand on single player alone which it didnt i feel )

Resident Evil 4, especially for the Wii. Its my favorite kind of game too.

Over the shoulder third person with upgradable weaponry. I just get addicted to the upgrading system.

Plus, Leon is a badass, the story (for an RE game) is pretty good, and the gameplay is phenomenal. I've beaten it so many times that I can do a run through in two and a half hours. I'm not sure I wanna think about how many hours I've actually put into that game.

Resident Evil 2 for nostalgic reasons and Resident Evil 4 for pure terrific gameplay and setting.

I'll vote for Resi 5 because it was the least aggrivating for me. I've always had a love-hate relationship with the RE series. I've always loved the insane goofiness and lame dialogue, but I've always hated their frankly bat-shit retarded approach to gameplay.
At least I could play some fun, if somewhat stupidly logic breaking co-op with my girlfriend.

Me, on playing RE5- "Damnit Chris! Why the hell can't you move and reload at the same time? You're a fucking secret agent! What's this? You can't move and shoot/melee at the same time? WHat the hell did they teach you in Spec Ops school?"

Resident Evil 5 only if playing with a friend.

Not because the game is any good, but because it's so damn cheesey that you can't help but laugh at it. And laughing by yourself is creepy, thus the friend to join in the hilarity.

Here's my opinion on all of them.

Resident evil zero: Had some great ideas, and puzzles, but wasn't that great.

Resident evil: The original game is far too clunky to be enjoyable today, however the remake is my favourite of the whole series, and guess what...it manages to be scary as shit, a first for the franchise.

Resident evil 2: Many people will tell you that this is the best in the series, i tend to always disagree. It had all of the text book Resident evil atmosphere we all know and love, but I didn't find it as fun as remake or Resident evil 3.

Resident evil 3: Perhaps in retrospect it was too similar to two, but with a huge zombie beast chasing after you made for some of my favourite moments in my video gaming memory.

Resident evil 4: Even though they changed alot in this game, it managed (for the most part) to be the a great original take on a series that was growing abit stale.

Resident evil 5: kind of a mixed bag for me. On the other hand they kept the resident evil 4 style of gameplay, and on the other, it felt too rushed, too short, and totally unnecessary.

Resident evil code veronica: The Characters were terrible (Alfred and Steve anyone?), but other than that it is a very fun, if hard Resident evil.

Resident evil Outbreak: (see Resident evil zero)

Code Veronica for me. It has a much more active motif going on embedded within the story of the game (that being my favorite reason), the story of Alice in Wonderland! It also had a great premise, a very exciting opening sequence, and interesting and compelling story around the Ashford Family. Further, it kept the environments interesting while still sticking to the RE formula (admittedly, RE4 pulled off the varying environments to a much greater degree). Yes, the actual voice acting was pretty bad and the cinemascenes were at times melodramatic, but they were only the ones involving Steve, and he's the Jar Jar Binks of the RE series: if you dismiss his scenes, it ends up being much better.

A close second would be the RE1 remake. It is a beautiful game and, for me, is genuinely the scariest game I've ever played (most horror games today are like Dead Space)

Yes it's bravo team. You play as Rebecca Chambers, and you meet up with Billy Coen who is a convict running from the law.

Yeah it's good, but its not amazing. The two people character switching is a good idea, but soon it becomes more of a hindrance than a asset. It does have the best puzzles of the series though, and the train part at the beginning is pretty awesome.

All in all, its worth playing, but don't expect anything special.

Resident Evil 4, easily. I had fucking blast with that one. However, I do have to give a special mention to Resident Evil 5 for:

(1) A sawed-off triple barrel shotgun

(2) A hulked out Chris Redfield beating the shit out of a boulder

(3) Kung Fu Action Wesker

and

(4) D. C. Douglas' voice

Best of them 1,2,3 Remakes included

Worst by far RE5 and then RE4 as they sucked so hard and ruined the series :3

My favourite encounter with the Nemesis.

I shitted bricks as a eleven year old playing this part for the first time, especially when the music came on when the nemesis was close.

They sure don't make games like this anymore.
