I just posted on another thread about how I thought that Twilight Princess, for me, just felt a lot better than Ocarina of Time. Maybe it's because I don't have any nostalgia for it, but that really is what I think. So then I had an idea: Why don't I figure out which way this website swings, for future reference so I don't annoy fanboys?

It's simple: Just pick your favourite Zelda game from the list I put up. If you pick 'Other' and don't say anything else, I'll assume you either mean the CD-i stuff, Adventure of Link or a fangame/mod.

Personally, I go for Twilight Princess, but don't flame me, or anyone, based on which game they pick. Oh, and a fun fact: The only Zelda game I've beaten (not counting sidequests) was Minish Cap.

Get to it.
~~~~~~
Edit: A lot of you have been complaining about how I've bunched games together, but I do have a reason for it: I wanted to cover as many games as possible, and I only had eight spaces, so I decided to group all the ones I thought played pretty much the same (only counting basic gameplay mechanics) in one group. The original only lets you have one item, and you stab stuff. Link to the Past let you use one item and slash/spin attack at stuff. Awakening and Oracles had two item slots and smaller screens. Minish Cap is like that but later and with better graphics. Ocarina and Majora were the first 3D games, Twilight Princess improved on what Ocarina did (more versatile sword combat, easier to manually aim attacks with Wiimote, etc.). Maybe I should have split up the Wind Waker games, but I didn't really have room.
Happy now?
~~~~~~
Edit 2: I'm also aware that placing the Nintendo 64 games in one bracket probably skewed the results a little too much, but where would I put the one I displaced?

Wind Waker, not those terrible DS sequels. Probably the only Zelda game I loved, it was just perfect with it's art style and world.

And I, for one, didn't mind the sailing.

OoT and Majora's mask. Twillight Princess is overated. It wasn't all that good.

What's so bad about the DS ones? Phantom Hourglass is a blast if you try it with 3 hearts.

Wind waker. For the beautiful aesthetics and the wondrous music. (seriously, I use the ocean theme for running music, it is fantastic!)

Ocarina was large, expansive, creative and intuitive.

Twilight was pretty derivative, uninspired and far too linear. It's not a bad game, but it doesn't compare

Majoras mask, the darkest game with the most interesting game mechanic and some of the best puzzles.

Saying that i too prefer twilight princess to ocarina.

Link's Awakening was the first game other than something from the Spectrum that I absolutely fell in love with. And the DX version just made me renew the affair.

I just didn't like them. I didn't like how they controlled, nor did I like how Phantom Hourglass had you repeat the same dungeon over and over again. Spirit Tracks was somewhat better, but it really rather cut down on the exploration aspect that made Wind Waker such a joy to play.

I love pretty much all of them, but I can always count on popping in Majora's Mask for a trip of disturbing nostalgia.

OOT is a close second though - good thing I can vote for both! :3

To be completely unorginal, i'll have to say Ocarina of time.

It's not called one of the greatest games ever made for nothing.

Wind Waker is brilliant, but it really hit the ground towards the end with it's triforce fetch quest.

Twilight Princess was good, but it did have some extremely annoying gameplay mechanics in it, such as the tear collecting.

I also found out that Twilight Princess plays much better on the cube rather than the wii version.

I wish I could vote Awakening without voting Oracles... Awakening is my favorite in the series, but Oracles never really left much of an impression on me.

Wind Waker. I really liked its distinctive art style, and the soundtrack was fantastic. I also liked how there was more of an emphasis on exploration, tracking down all the islands and sea forts.

I do have a few major issues with the game, though. I don't like the forced stealth segment near the beginning, and I wish boss battles were more difficult. Also, the character trophy sidequest is extremely tedious.

I haven't played the other "Celda" games, so I can't really comment on those.

Majora's Mask

Absoloutely brilliant game. The mechanics were some of the best out there and felt like a cool alternate stroy to the typical Zelda games.

Majora's Mask:

Great gameplay, with amazing atmosphere and NPCXs you actually cared for.

Also, Majora made Ganon look like a chump.

Erm...Can I say all of them? Because asking me to choose one would result in my head exploding after I couldn't do it.
