Poll: Betrayed by Accident, do you boot? (Halo)

When you are betrayed by someone and it's obviously an accident (for example, you are attacking an enemy, and one of your teammates sticks the enemy with a plasma grenade) do you boot them if given the option?

I am usually quick to forgive unless the guy was someone who was obviously punching me repeatedly just to be a dick, but I often see people boot for no reason. Just an hour ago, I saw someone get booted after a very long game of invasion ended, that's right, I said AFTER. He betrayed someone AFTER THE ENTIRE GAME ENDED as people often do, but before the players were returned to the lobby, he was apparently booted and got no credit for the match.

There's no point in booting them if they're not going to continue. Even if it was intentional, I'd let them go if I somehow knew that it would happen again.

To me it is more of a case by case basis, sometimes when I'm playing something like CoD on hardcore there are just people who will lob nades or just fire toobs randomly hoping to get a kill, and sometimes they just happen to nail me. While an accident it's really a case of really, like wtf man. Or there are guys who pay absolutely no attention to UAV or anything that is up, sit in a corner and blast anything that moves towards them, whether friendly or not.
And there is the case of guys who see an enemy and you engaged in combat and will spray like a mad man, and in most cases will just kill both of you.
(Note I usually play on server that kick after X times,or gives the player the option for BOPS, but this general principle applies to various games).
And in the end it usually just matters what mood I'm in. Usually if I think it was just a terrible botch I'll show mercy, but if its a case of extreme stupidity, I'll just boot.

Unless I see them actively trying to kill me or have a really horrible K/D spread, I never boot them.

I boot people depending on the circumstances for example the reason I left halo and went to play Black Op's is because of the selfish acting of some people who blow up vehicles or shoot you for taking something 'they claimed' if they accidently betray me in doing so I kick them from the game otherwise if it's clearly an accident I'll forgive them because booting someone harms your own chances of winning as your a player down.

I also don't shed any tears for people who kill their teamates at the end of a round for no other reason than 'lolz' who get booted to be honest, you gain nothing from doing so and there is absolutely no point in doing it so it only serves as an annoyance. If you're betraying your team mate fully aware that you can be booted for doing so at the end of a round but you don't want to risk being booted why not I don't know maybe not shoot them? It's not that hard to not press a trigger.

I used to but then I sort of stopped, thought and decided whether or not to boot. I mainly er on the side of caution when I get a rare chance to play Halo online.

And can anyone tell me, is the betrayal system fixed in Reach? I had a fight in Halo 3 where I kept getting TK'd by a sniper and it never gave me the option to kick til the game was nearly over.

Why would you boot someone if it was obvious they betrayed you by accident? Unless of course you just wanted to be a dick, which is sometimes understandable.

I don't, someone being a dick in other ways however (emp'ing tanks they want) I betray, incur a revenge betrail and then boot, mean but it has worked sevral times

I let it slide the first time, everybody gets one. I've team killed many team mates by running them over or blowing them up myself

If it keeps happening though, I may be hitting the kick button...

You can only be booted on rare occasions for it, only when it kind of glitches out and lets you boot them even though the game ended. It shouldn't really annoy anyone, it's just that 2.5 second period after the game ends but before the screen fades out, it's harmless fun.

I only will boot if the betrayal was intentional. Most of the time its unintentional and I hear the player saying "Oh I'm sorry, that was my bad" though the mic so I'll forgive him.

I never shot a teammate on purpose, if I do by accident its usually because said teammate has run into my line of fire, which is really their bloody fault. If if the dick booted me because of his mistake then he or she is a dick.

I only boot people if they look at me, pull out their gun, shoot me in the face, and teabag me.

What I am getting REALLY sick of is the glitch in zombie playlists where if you kill each other just right it's a betrayal. I've been booted so many times It is ridiculous!

ill boot after 2 or more times depending on the situation if its genuinely accidents ill let it slide and avoid the person like the plague for the rest of the game but if its intentional ill boot the second time

Not necessarily in Halo, because I don't play it, but if it's obvious that it was an accident, then why boot them? If they think it was funny but probably won't do it again, get even with them, have a laugh, and get back to the game. Only boot if they are repeatedly doing it just to be annoying.

No. It hurts the team. If it was deliberate, of course. But not otherwise. I may take some of your advice and boot if they suck, but they have a right to play as well.
I've gotten booted for honest, and obvious, mistakes which they really had coming (who the hell jumps on top of a tank while it's firing??) and it's really annoying.

It's moody. It really depends on factors that I can't figure out, but usually it works well.

If it's not intentional then I won't boot them. Hell, I screw up sometimes and I don't want to be kicked for an accident. In this case it's just easier to forgive and forget.
