I've had players attack me because I took "their item". What a load of crap. If you fight back, the idiot chases you for the rest of the game. Then you both get booted. It's crap like that, that takes the FUN out of gaming.
I just jump of a ledge with the item if they do that. Then if they persist I can kick them.

Not if it's an accident.

But I've been booted for accidental kills many times.

So, now, I never play Hardcore in CoD.

Except to troll. With intentional killstreak destroying (blowing up allied helicopters is so much fun!), and then TK'ing until auto-boot.

If I'm in the situation again, that's what I'll do! Good idea!

Only if it keeps happening, then I probably would, though just because at that point I'm questioning their accidental nature.

It's harmless to kill after the game ends because the scores have been finalized and nothing productive can possibly be achieved in the 2.5 seconds after the game ends.

It's NOT harmless to boot someone for it because it costs them credits.
Again this is your personal opinion what you are forgetting is that the person you are shooting at the end of the game is not you and as such they have different opinions maybe they think it isn't harmless maybe they think you deserve to get booted who knows until you decide to shoot them? not everyone is going to go into a game with the same mindset again if you don't want to get booted don't shoot at them then your risk free simple.

And really you completely disregard the fact that the person booted made a decision knowing it could glitch and they could get booted to take the risk of getting booted for no productive reason and if it happens it's their own fault if they think it's unfair or not, they took the risk of their own free will no one forced them.

Hell no, not even if that person annoys me. Well, if they are in the negatives I might have to just to save my team. But seriously too many times people have acted vile towards myself in the same situation or because of someone in my party, and I just figure (hope) that maybe one good deed will cause them to change.

I will say that Bungie seriously needs to fix the banning you from Xbox live games thing. I'm not gonna continue playing Firefight when everyone else has quite literally quit before it even began or go up against four others in slayer while the rest of my team is away from the controller, getting blown away in between moments of perpetual horizontal spinning. There's even been instances All the time in living dead where it gave me the option to boot someone because they killed me fractions of a second after I infected them.

Why would you boot someone if it was obvious they betrayed you by accident? Unless of course you just wanted to be a dick, which is sometimes understandable.
I think circumstances play quite a bit. Sure, I'm not aiming at you when I try to steal your stealth kill with a quick snipe, but my sniping skills just aren't what they used to be and neither is your skull. That, IMHO, is a bootable, accidental team kill. On the other hand, if I lob a grenade or three into a room full of enemy just before you run in shouting something about Leroy Jenkins then that is a forgivable offense. It is all situational but mostly forgivable.

No, im quite the forgiving halo player, but the betrayal system is just all fucked up and it pisses me off, when someone betrays me for the reason of a weapon or a vehicle that i got before them, it should let me boot them on the spot. Or if i get a revenge betrayal so they can't use what isn't rightfully theirs, i shouldnt be booted either.

Depends on how stupid their accident was. If it was understandable, such as tossing a grenade around a corner without knowing I was there, then no, stuff like that happens. If it was my own fault, such as inadvertently strafing into their sights as they take a shot, then of course not. But if it was sheer unapologetic stupidity, such as plowing a vehicle right into me while I'm crouched in cover, I'd strongly consider it.

That just happened to me, he attacked me, I incited him into betraying me and booted him for it in response.

I just got a text message from him saying "Fucking ***** go to hell"

Hilarious.

Alright, show me it from their eyes, how does it "harm" them

If I can tell it was an accident I rarely ever boot. Shit happens. I've had my fair share of accidental friendly fire incidents. Sometimes you're jumpy or in the frenzy of combat you accidently hit a team-mate. It happens. I might get annoyed if the killer was being careless and was just lobbing explosives around, but I generally don't boot.

Never. No many how many accidents happen, never. If it's intentional, you're getting booted out in a heartbeat.
