I always wondered which one would be better: Better health or better weapon. Sometimes i had to choose between the choice of a slightly better dagger than the toothpick i was wielding right now or a slighty better shirt than the wife beater i was wearing right then. Sometimes i had to choose between a giant laser cannon of doom or the experimental mech armor. If in a situation where you could choose between better armor or better weapon, which would you choose?

Weapons before armor.

I had the worst health-bar in dead space but I never died because I dominated the little buggers with my OP weapons

Better health is always good, just because you can hang about longer, but if you're doing crap damage, everything can get very tedious... Although, that said if you do loads of damage, but can't take a punch, whats the point.

So basically, neither. I someone offers you one, just steal them both!!

Depends on what type of game it is, 'cos if it's player skill based, then weapon, but character skill based, then armor. Or, if real life, then armor (if it could fly).

I usually concentrate on weapons when I know I should take a look at my armour.

I'm a big fan of defensive play so i'm going to say armour. You may take a hit or two but with high strength armour you should be able to withstand them. Then you can use your less powerful weapon to break through their weaker armour.
Of course, can i not have both?

In most RPGs I tend to go for armor, mostly because often times battles are grindfests of "if it's not broken it might not need fixing" with regards to your weapons. I do enjoy some games where a full-armored-and-equipped hero is like 498357983475834 jillion times stronger than one naked (like in WoW) but I'm also fond of those games where someone in default class equipment is only like 20-30% weaker than someone wearing the best findables in the game.

But yeah, in a brawler, or FPS, or something where you can learn to master dodging or counter attacks, totally weapon power. Then just practice to be un-hittable.

depends on the game. if it's a game where you have 100% direct control over your character's combat, then weapon, if not, armor so the dummies live a little longer.

Better weapon, why, because usually better armour happens to be heavier armor, and i like being light and mobile. Speed is the key.

I would rather be really small and nimble with a super laz3r can0n of d00m then be slow moving but high health weilding an avarage weapon.

My spped is my armour, and thats how i play.

Definitely armor.
I have the patience to hack away at my enemies with craptastic weapons, but I have very little tolerance for dying because deep down I'm a sore loser. One reason why I play games is to leave frustration at the door, and nothing frustrates me quite like the game beating me when it's supposed to be the other way around.

in Video Games: better weapons! always. because you cant get hurt by something if its dead.

in real life: better armor! always, seriously bullets are not fun, neither are stab wounds.
