Well, seeing as Zigo and whatever don't really have an back story or seem particularly special, this looks fairly lame.
But I'm not getting Bioshock 2 for the multiplayer, either.

It's called a joke. The multiplayer is completely disconnected from the SP (Different timespace), and they're trying to inject some humour.

It should be a more atmospheric and meaningfull becasue thats what the game is like.
Anyway to me the multiplayer just looks like more of a tacked on thing to get more sales then anything els. Sure i havent played it but the way the commercial and any other gameplay ive seen gives me that sort of vibe.

I've never been on the "hate Gamestop" train, simply because we don't have Gamestops where I live. So I viewed this (and the ME2 one) commercial without even knowing they're from Gamestop.
And I chuckled. Doesn't do it justice? Please, it's a commercial, and a pretty creative one at that. Though the ME2 one was a bit...cheap, this one is quite funny in my book. A custody battle has never been so literal.
About the multiplayer itself, I'll give it a shot, but obviously focus on the singleplayer. I'll stick to TF2, CSS, L4D2 and MW2 for my multiplayer needs.

Bioshock is about atmospheric singleplayer. I reckon that the multiplayer mode is just for the spazzy 12-year-olds that think a game is bad if it's not online.

Saw this commercial over 50 times in one night while watching MTV. If I ever have to watch it again, I'm going to hemorrhage.

Looks like fun, but it will probably end up with the Bioshock fan boys just wreaking everyones shizzz.
This commercial isn't meant to show off the game's atmosphere, it's meant to show Bioshock 2 in a way that will appeal to the widest possible audience. What upsets me about this is the seemingly horrible pre-order bonus you get. I don't know who these two characters are, so I have no will to pre-order so that I can get them. Maybe I'm missing something here but it just seems like a more pointless pre-order bonus than usual to me.
