Poll: Bioshock Infinite - Excited?

I really don't care about the Bioshock franchise, though just now I'm playing the second installation, just because I bought it from Steam Xmas sale cheaply. I really didn't see the "awesomeness" in the first and the second is the same. Perhaps, though, the third will bring in some neat feature to separate Bioshocks from the masses. I'm already dreading the possibility of computer-controlled "assistant" in form of the Girl. They never work. Endless escort mission is not my thing.

It's my most anticipated game of the year. I was already looking forward to it, but seeing the gameplay demo from E3 and watching Booker and Elizabeth faff about in a store enertained me a lot.

I don't get any games on launch after I discovered steam, as they just get so cheap after a short while. Bioshock looks great, I hope the experiance is more replayable then the first, and from what I have seen so far it does. I can't stand it when a singleplayer games are too short or are not very replayable... looking at you Shadow of the Damned.

I watched the 15 minute gameplay video on youtube. Cant say I will buy this game at launch. The gameplay despite its "dramatic" sequences looks pretty dull to me. Very style over substance. Of course its unfair to judge from a simple video, but I'm left with the impression that I have played this game before. In the same way you are left with the same impression when you play COD or BF....played this before.

I guess what might save the game for me is if your choices do have consequences to the end plot.

Not really - the first one was kind of meh, and this looks like the same thing in a less interesting setting.

Not at all. I never got the hype about the first 2 Bioshocks. Theme park shooters with glossy graphics is all they were.

I'm expecting it to be my game of 2012, so I'm hoping it doesn't turn out like Bioshock 2 did. It looks like it wont, though.

It's really the only game coming out this year that really has me intrigued and could possibly make me buy a used PS3 before its release.

Between Infinite and AC3, it looks like my wallet will be emptied out again this fall.

I'll grab it when it hits the bargain bin or I see a cheap enough copy on Amazon but i'm not all that interested in it.

Far too many games coming out i'm more interested in.
