I'm a sucker for black hair and fair skin.

Though...I don't know why I care. I won't be using this character model anyway.

I like all of them apart from the red haired one which is winning, typical.

Why is there another vote? the blonde won! that's it! yeah some people like the red haired shepard but the mayority picked the blonde. I don't see why we gotta go all over this again, Bioware. A vote's a vote, just deal with the outcome
Actually, the redhead is winning. By quite a margin. As of right now, it's 2041 for blonde and 6176 for red.
huh, I'm suprised. Well congratulations to the redhead then. Anyhow, my first statement still implies. Thanks for clarifying it to me though :).

No. God damn it Bioware.

You know why we got the blonde? The Facebook People got to it. You let The Facebook People decide FemShep, Bioware. The Facebook People don't even know who you are or what Mass Effect is. You are not good with hair, don't do this.

It's not the style the voters dug. It was the stereotypical attractiveness. Blue-eyed blonde. The Facebook People don't actually know how to think and will always go for what the media tells them is aesthetic perfection.

We will get this greasy terrible mop made out of plastic or something. The hue of the tangled, solidified mess will not change that.

Wait I just realised I actually don't even give a fuck.
'The facebook people'?
The only people likely to be voting on it are still those planning to get the game, or at least with a passing interest. Having a facebook account doesn't automatically make you a gelled-up Jersey Shore wannabe, or a mindless media sheep. 720,000 people apparently have an account there and like ME enough to publicly admit to so doing. Those are your 'facebook people' in this case. Unashamed geeks.

I've already posted about this elsewhere, so in short:

I chose dark/black haired Shepard because I found it the most appealing. I do like the red hair colour, in itself, but I strongly disapprove of the fact that the red hair comes along with freckles. I have nothing against freckles, or redheads with freckles, but I disapprove of the fact that BioWare is enforcing stereotyping by basically advertising that only redheads have freckles and/or all redheads have freckles.

If we were given the option to choose the freckles on all the Shepards, or on the redhead Shepard, then I would be completely fine.

For fucks sake, there is no goddamn difference except the hair.

If you deeply care about this then you need to re-evaluate your interests and go outside.
This good sir has a point. If you hate the hair colour that much, you can just change it in game. No one is forcing you to play the default Shepard. She's only for marketing purposes.

My apologies for over-reacting then. Every now and again I get a little sick of the rampant sanctimonious elitism that pops up in the forums, including that directed at the sheeple who still use facebook.

Can I vote for someone that isn't in Junior High?
I hear you. It doesn't exactly scream "seasoned soldier" to me.
I'm pretty sure you could easily find women who could snap you like twig and look good in a dress.
Perhaps. It's just that I pictured Shepard as someone in their thirties and with a palpable grittiness about them. I don't see why they shouldn't look sexy, but I'd like them to look mature.

I know it's only concept art, but I'm just sharing my impressions.

And I've known a 45 year old woman who could put a lot of beauty queens to shame, seriously Deal with the Devil good looking at 45.

Yeah I actually haven't been on here much lately and it never occured to me that a tirade like that could be anything other than tongue-in-cheek.

Thinking back, that was pretty stupid of me.

Similarly, it never occurred to me that it might have been. Again, I apologise for shouting at you. Well, typing loudly and aggressively at you.
