Poll: BLack Ops Disappointment Top 21

For many of us CODBO Failed out expectations. Because what we imagined was a Shinning gold coin on top of some Shitty Brown shooters. But as we got near the coin and held it in our hands it turned out that the Gold coin was just a Wrapper holding only a L4D clone Mediocre Campaign and a Disappoint of a Multiplayer.

So i Made A list of 21 things that i hate about Black Ops.

Please feel free to Add what you Hate about black ops and your thoughts on my list.

1. My Team Mates would refuse to protect a Flag in Domination
2. i put 24 bullets in someones chest and then shoot me straight off and one shot me
3. Getting a Kill to only getting shot by the same person who spawned behind me
4. Kids saying the word '******' Like a Homophobic Machine Gun
5. How a Person knows your exact location without even having a UAV
6. The Teammate who's 5th prestige and plays shockingly bad. Why? Nobody knows.
7. Children
8. People who communicate using racial Slurs and Offensive Language
9. THE SPAWN SYSTEM
10.The Spawn System
11. THE MAPS Arg there so dull
12. The Killstreaks Boring
13. COD points What a Great Concept But Fell on its Face
14. People who have mics on but the only thing you hear from them is background Rapper Music
15. The Hitmarker's I clearly shot 50 bullets into him and it says i shot nothing.
16. Trick Shooters Who Suck for instance someone spraying and praying with a sniper

I do agree with most parts, but I don't think black ops was that bad. Actually better than MW2 if you ask me. The spawns are bad in black ops, but I think they were worse in MW2.

The maps are quite boring, which is the one thing I think BO is worse at than MW2.

One part I really disagree on is killstreaks being boring. I think they are pretty well balanced and fun (though now that Hardline pro is only restricted to care packages, I'm not so excited). Plus they tend to involve interactivity, unlike say MW2's killstreaks.

My honest oppinion of the CoD series is: CoD4 amazing, everything else meh. Black ops didn't really fail my expectations, since I was just looking for a pretty fun multiplayer. Which we did get, since it has tomahawks in it. All is forgiven because of the godly tomahawk.

Most of my (and your) problems lie with the community, they're nothing more than a group of over-compensating pre-teens who only care about kill streaks, which is why I stopped playing the Multi.

However the Zombies mod has these issues too. with 14 year-olds forgetting we need to cooperate to make it past round 5.

About a third of your problems could be solved by learning how to mute people.

Apart from anything else half your reasons for disliking the game aren't the fault of the developers, but the online community that you get with every game... Also I preferred the killstreaks in Black Ops (one of its few redeeming features in my opinion), they really reigned in the killstreaks after MW2 started taking the complete piss. And to be honest I never particularly liked Treyarchs entries into the CoD series, I've always viewed them as a place holder for the next years entry.

The majority of your complaints lie with just the people you play with online.

I actually just got done with the Campaign and i must say, i thought it was pretty good.
I loved the atmosphere and it did surprise me with some things at the end, and it had a VERY satisfying ending.

I actually thought that the Napalm strike was a awesome kill streak.
Not only as a means of killing the opponent but also blocking off some areas of a map for a short amount of time.
And i get a strange feeling of "awesome" whenever i kill someone with a RC-bomb.
So learn to mute people and most of your problems will disappear.

The Crossbow is pretty awesome as well.
Nothing like sticking someone with a Exploding tip and seeing them stupidly run into a group of their teammates.
Killing them all.

CoD's community is definitely the worst of any online game I've played. If you have a mic you will immediately get called out by random asshole(s) in the lobby without doing anything (the best response is mute then own them. Gloat afterwards if necessary). Second, due to the increasing value on K/D rather than W/L, you will have in objective based games players who will do nothing to involve objectives instead going for kills. Having killstreaks is another issue, but with BO, getting higher killstreaks is more difficult so more people have to camp harder to get them. The result: slower games.

Although I agree the spawn system is atrocious in general along with overall hit detection. Why do I need to hold my crosshairs on my sniper rifle for nearly a second before the shot has a chance in hell of hitting? My crosshairs are on target, I'm using my crosshairs, so it's not a quickscope. Why does 3arc hates snipers so much? Yes they were easy in MW2, but now they're just stupidly ineffective (partially due to map design).

I didn't find Black Ops to be 'dissapointing' exactly. It was just, to quote Bernard Black: "Everything I expected, and less."

So I checked the "meh" poll option. If I'd been expecting anything other than utterly generic runny-shooty-explodey-wahey gameplay I might have been dissapointed.

I suppose to it's credit I can say that I really enjoyed the single player. The single player was solid, if constantly ridiculous, and actually very enjoyable. Sneaking into a Vietnamese stronghold slitting throats like a patriotic ninja was the highlight for me.

But the multiplayer is when it devolved itself into a reskin of the past 3 Call of Duty games. I know, I know. They need to keep it similar for obvious reasons of alienating fans but the changes they made were trivial at best and infuriatingly retarded at worst.

1, Defend the flag yourself.
2, Either lag or you didn't actually hit him.
3, Agreed, the spawning is messed up.
4, Annoying yes, but a problem with the players not the game.
5, Plenty of reasons for this, including small maps and the hacker perk.
6, A high level doesn't mean a good teammate.
7, Its a fact of online FPS, sorry dude.

Well, that was fun.

You forgot to mention the actual set in stone problems with the multiplayer though, the overpowered weapons (AK74U Galil FAMAS Auto-pistol Upgrade Claymore) and unbalanced perks.

i agree with all of that, although i still trudged through till level 50, whereas in mw2 i dont think i got past level 20 because i was so bored of it.

also i was really disapointed with zombies this time, which was the best thing about WaW

EDIT: also blops has the worst connection issues ive ever seen with a game, im not exagerating when i say i could be playing for an hour, and not actually finish a match due to constant disconnections and host migration. And no its not my shitty internet, because im fine for everything else.

It's hilarious when you have +6000 points and a little kid is playing with a mic. They scream so much ordering you to open the door or elevator.

I have so much fun being selfish on Zombies, as others react so badly.

Especially when they die on every round after round 4.

Seriously, you put someone down, hit them with another bullet, its not that hard. The only people who whine about it are the people who refuse to change to new situations.

2. Shitty everything that isn't an AR, with the exceptions of the AK74u, Spectre, M60 and SPAS12
3. Counter Spy Plane. I just don't like how it blocks your map completely. I'd be okay with it if it bounced between full fuzz and half fuzz.
4. Domination campers
5. Brown brown brown and snow
6. Playing against parties of 4 or more
7. Spawns on Jungle, the biggest map in the game and people STILL spawn directly behind you. It seems that there's only 3 spawn points: the ammo bunker, the rice paddy and the busted temple.
8. Getting a one-bar connection in High Roller
9. Nuketown
10. Previous Map: Nuketown - 10+ votes out of 18 players
11. Pro perks challenges. 5 frag throwbacks, quick double knife, 20 Nova Gas kills, 5 backstabs and 10 CTF captures are all horrible challenges that make me want to stab kittens.

But it's still fun, just not as addictive as CoD 4 or, dare I say it, Modern Warfare 2. Try as they might, Treyarch will never interest me as much as (old) Infinity Ward. I voted 'meh'.

OT: I think it's amazing. I hated MW2 and Blops has pretty much improved every aspect, except the maps.

Oh come on. That's like the people who say "Oh my God I put a whole clip into him!"
And the obvious response is "No you didn't otherwise he'd be dead." You mean you fired about ten bullets, hit about three and he killed you, or lag happened and even though he fired second you die first.

How bout the fact that on the PC version you can get a glitch that puts you down to level 1, and doesn't allow you change you classes at all? All Treyarch says is to Prestige and it should reset it but, that's alot of work for something that might not work at all.

The game itself is fun but it doesn't work for me.

most of your problems aren't with the game but with the people who play them.

Black Ops in my opinion has the worst multiplayer in the Call of Duty series to date. Sniping is horrible, the maps are horrible, and the killstreaks are either terrible (Mortar Team) or overpowered (Chopper Gunner at 9, RC-XD at TWO with hardline?!?).

I really thought MW2 was going to be the low point of the series until I played Black Ops. Now I play MW2 since most of the noob tube spamming Commando-lunging pre-teens have moved on to Black Ops.

Wait... better hit detection than MW2? What game were you playing? I've played MW2 since it's release pretty much, and among the dozens of issues MW2 has, hit detection certainly was not one of them. In fact I'd say MW2 had the best hit detection of the series. Black Ops on the other hand has similar hit detection to WaW, which is to say it's horrible.
