I have no idea what mine is, but I'd like to find out at some point. I have extreme trypanophobia, so I'm afraid to do it.

I can't remember if O+ or O- is the rare one... well, I have the uncommon but still universal one. That means I'll probably have to... ulp... give, give blood. I mean, it's like my duty... yeah. Mm. Yeah.

Im part of the 1% here in England that is AB negative.
I had to give my step-dad blood when he was in a bad motorcycle accident. I am also getting my blood group tattoo'd on me so they dont kill me by pumping O into me in case of an emergency.

I'm A+,so it common blood. My friend is AB and keeps telling me he'll take my blood one day just because he can.

I don't know and it really annoys me. I thought about donating blood to find out but I am a bit scared of the needle.

AB-

Haven't donated in a while, probably should get off my ass and do that. And FINALLY got my bone marrow donor card. Though I doubt they'll ever have to call me.

A+

Mmmmm interesting O seems to be wining, isn't that supposed to be the least common one? (At least I thought that was the case in Europe and North America)

edit:
Woaw never mind, seems like I messed up, O negative is fairly rare. Positive turns out to be the most common.
Aaah well everyday you learn some more I guess.

I have no idea. And what made you think this was a good idea for a thread? Discussion promoting it is not.
Then why did you reply? Especialy if you don't know jack-shit about your blood type?

I'm an A+. I'm ready to save the world with my blood that's compatible with most anything.
You're only compatible with A and AB, O is known as the universal donor and AB is the universal recipient. (Pending rh and other factors that require matching) However, in most instances attempts will be made to match types to the donor.

O is generally the most common type world-wide, AB is the least common as it's only been introduced into the gene pool due 'mixing' of blood types over the last 750-1,000 years.

Rh + is also more common than Rh- blood.

Isn't it self-explanatory? I guess not so let me spell it out.

I replied to let the OP know that this thread is a waste of space on an already overpopulated forum. Also, threads are supposed to have discussion value, meaning they shouldn't be able to be answered in one word, or letter in this case.

Now you know.
