B- here. I can give blood to every other B type, but can only recieve B- in return, which is probably why I make it a point to donate blood.

Not really surprissed by how the poll is shaping up, it seems to follow to pattern of blood types by how common they are. But its good to see the diversity here in Escapist.

Nope I believe you are thinking of AB.

Which I am. I would think A and B are the most common (too lazy to research) since they have 2 possible genotypes, and i believe the negatives are more rare than the positives.

Ya know what awesome? My mum's a B, my dad's an A, my bro's an O, and I'm an AB.
Just gotta say, your family covers the entire spectrum, which is awesome.

Also yeah, you would think that AB would be more likely, but because of the huge number of people with O in the first place, most people are going to either be homozygous recessive or heterozygous with O.

O+ if I remember correctly.
Noone in the West cares about blood type except for a few esoteric idiots, but it's pretty big in Asia,
where it's seen as an indicator for personality, how well a couple matches, how well someone is suited for a specific job and so on.

By the way, be careful around type As, Hitler was A so you can never know what they're up to.

Me and my sister are B+, same as my Dad. I'm gonna assume B+ is dominant over O, because my Mum is O. I did Genetics at college :p

According to this "eat for your blood type" webpage I just read, I'm not supposed to eat Chicken, which is a shame because I love it and most of my meals consist of chicken. It's terrible because to my blood, it's actually dangerous, but I'm gonna keep eating it anyway.

Can't quite remember. Think I'm O something.

One person I know is of a unique blood type. He had the fortune of finding out when he needed a transfusion XD. Not the best time to find out.

I don't know, but it's red and it likes to bleed and build up.

Those personality traits given to different blood types are the same as zodiac signs, handwriting analyzing or reading one's palm = extraordinarily accurate with no chance of being wrong in any case. You should build your life around them.

An octopus? We don't like the likes of you. Keep those tentacles where I can see them.

Hello Escapers, I was mostly curious what everyone's blood-type is.

A
Why do you want to know? It's my blood not yours. You can't have any of it. Cause it's mine. My blood! Keep your needles and transfusions and blood vans away from me! MY blood! MINE MINE MINE!!!!!!!

And now that I've calmed down...I think I'm AB something or rather. Not sure to be honest and I'm not caring...CAUSE IT'S MY BLOOD AND IT'S STAYING IN MY BODY!!!!!!
Crap, they're on to me >_>

According to my donor card B+.
Your poll needs an option for people who don't know.

I'm O-. Which is cool, because I like to donate lots and lots of blood. Not so cool when I actually might need blood though, as I can only accept O type to my knowledge...
O- specifically. O+ is bad for us, too.

I am pretty sure I a B-. Too bad I can't donate since I have crippling trypanophobia.

I was also in another country during an avian flu outbreak but that isn't the point
