Blue eyes isn't enough. You also need white skin and blonde hair. That's a recipe for success!

I remember from somewhere that blue eyes result from a recessive gene. I, myself however have green eyes with a bizarre yellowish ring around the pupil.

This is probably just a way to hide the fact that they where polling for Whites vs. Latinos academically and didn't want to sound racist >_>

Planning my ass.

I have blue eyes and I am very smart (saying that makes me feel like an arrogant fuck, but it's true) but I have the worst damn case of ADD on this side of...ANYWHERE!

My eyes are blue...and sometimes green. Whenever I tell someone that they think I am full of shit, but seriously, sometimes even one is blue and one green, and when those people who say I was full of shit take a look when they are the other color that they were before, they realize it's true.

I cant believe this. They probably tested like 2000 ppl tops. How about a 2 mil ppl test?
Then id agree to some degree it possible. But u cant say based on a small ...a very small amount of ppl that something is a fact. Or get ppl`s hopes up.
Or maybe 1 smart dude got blue eyes and now they hype about it...thats lame.

..That must be fun.

OT: I have blue eyes! And as much as I'd like to believe them, I just don't think I can.

Well, I might as well get back to finishing the creation of my new universe.

That would have to mean that everyone in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland are also geniuses. Sorry, not sold.

Also Academia is NOT an effective way to measure intelligence. That's why complete dumbasses sometimes get straight A's while veritable geniuses struggle to get C's. Einstein failed Math, for fuck's sake. And it doesn't take into account learning disabilities.

What about my green eyes? What does it mean? I feel left out.
It means your magical, you may not be the smartest but your magic, so you can do whatever you want. Of course thats a complete guess.

O.T. I have hazey blue eyes and im REALLY smart, im way above avarage in academics for my age (14), but i think the smarte i get the worse my spelling is, i swear this is true.

However that blue eye thing doesnt always work. I know a girl with blue eyes and she's not super smart, sure she's smart but she's not smarter than anothwer brown eyed girl i know.

Beat that science.

EDIT: I VERY rarely study for tests and i still get aboe avarage on them, its funny.

Well, I suppose it's right, but my cousin graduated from college with a maximum possible GPA, and she didn't have to pay any of her tuition, it was paid in full by the COLLEGE, and my sister has a 4.0 (or higher, can't remember) GPA and is a senior in high school, while I have a mere 2.5 and am struggling in many different academic fields. However, we all have brown eyes. It's odd, but then again, how does the "dumb blonde" mechanic work in this field? (I have brown hair)

Blue eyes here.

Apparently it also means you have had the same race of people in your family for at least 6 generations. Which makes sense as I'm 100% Irish.
Bleh, I'm nearly half Welsh, a little bit French and half English. Blue eyes.

Well according to the latest "research" or rather observations have revealed that if you have blue eyes you are "more likely to sparkle academically than those with brown."

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-476244/Why-blue-eyed-boys-girls-brilliant.html

"The colour of your eyes could determine your achievements in life, say scientists. They claim those with blue eyes are more likely to sparkle academically than those with brown. They are more intelligent and gain more qualifications because they study more effectively and perform better in exams.

Scroll down for more...

The discovery might help explain the success of such disparate individuals as Stephen Hawking, Alexander Fleming, Marie Curie, Stephen Fry and Lily Cole.

In reaction time trials conducted by U.S. scientists, the brown-eyed performed better, making them more likely to succeed at activities such as football, hockey and rugby.

But the researchers concluded that those with lighter eyes appeared to be better strategic thinkers.

Blue-eyed boys and girls proved to be more successful in activities that required them to plan and structure their time, such as golf, cross-country running - and studying for exams.

Those highly intelligent Stephens (Hawking and Fry): New research has revealed that blue-eyed individuals may study more effectively and perform better in exams than those with dark eyes

Stephen Hawking, author of A Brief History Of Time, is Britain's most eminent physicist.

Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin while Marie Curie was the first twice-honoured Nobel laureate for her work on radioactivity.

Writer and actor Stephen Fry gained a scholarship to Cambridge while model Lily Cole secured a place at King's College, Cambridge, after achieving five As at A-level.

Joanna Rowe, professor emeritus at the University of Louisville in Kentucky, who conducted the tests, said the results suggested a hitherto unexplored link between eye colour and academic achievement"

"It is just observed, rather than explained," she said. "There's no scientific answer yet." Dr Tony Fallone, senior psychology lecturer at the University of Bedfordshire, who has also studied eye colour, believes it should be taken more seriously as an indicator of personality and ability.

Most babies have blue eyes but they usually darken as the pigment melanin builds up in the iris.

Less melanin produces green, grey, or light brown eyes. Eyes with very little melanin appear blue or grey."

Alright, so I am willing to overlook this report from the "Daily Mail" but it got me thinking..how many of you have blue eyes/what is your eye colour and do you agree with this..er..findings.
Having spotted this i think i shall point out my fiance has brown eyes with hint of green and yet he is exceedingly smart and as he loves to rub in to me, has a very high IQ score. For me i have blue/green eyes (more green though) so i can be fairly smart if i try but it takes effort. I also find Green eyes are more mysterious and deep compared to other colours.

Indeed, I know what you mean. Mine have done the same thing every since I can remember. Sometimes they're lime green, sometimes emerald green, sometimes blue, sometimes gray. It seems to depend on my mood. Though recently they've stayed pretty much hazel. One of my ex's used to be able to read me like a book because of this phenomenon.

On topic, my eyes are typically hazel, and I find that I do well in most academic pursuits (With the exception of Organic Chemistry...of course. It's a vile, disgusting course of study.)
