Poll: Body modifications?

Been a while since I made a thread on here(and this has probably been made before but lol whatevs).

Anyway, I just got my first facial piercing ever, a septum. I don't plan on getting any other facial piercings for the moment, though I do want a tattoo right below my neck eventually.

So, Escapians, do you have any body modifications? Piercings, tattoos, whatever? Why/why not? And could you show the rest of us?

Everytime I see one of those it makes my eyes water. (I cant stand for anyone to mess with my nose, it probably has alot to do with my reaction) Did it hurt?

Myself, I have multiple japanese kanji on my body. I have warrior and survivor on my forearms... Teacher, power, sword, and War on my shoulder along with a fist, some lightning, and the Imperial and Rebel symbols from Star Wars all blended in... Discipline on what was SUPPOSED to be a frigging stone tablet just below that, but the dude goofed on the damn tablet part and it honestly looks to me like a cabbage, and I have a big scorpion on my other shoulder, because I am a scorpio.

I got my ears pierced when I was in high school. I always saw it as a transitional thing. Absolutely every single girl I knew had gotten her ears pierced by that point, and I felt like I wouldn't be a "lady" unless I got my ears pierced. Also, my family could then buy me earrings and jewelery for my birthday, which saved them having to get to know me well enough to get me something I'd actually like. Upshot of this is: yes I have my ears pierced like everyone else, but I never wear earrings or anything these days, so they may as well not be.

I've never really understood people wanting to express themselves through piercings or body art. What happened to expressing yourself with, you know, words.

I also have my ears pierced, I have two in one and one in the other, but I don't use them either, which is part of the reason I wanted to get this piercing, that I'll actually use.

The rest of the reasons are that I like the look of it(it's grown on me), my face is quite boring and I can't wear make-up because my face just can't handle it. Especially not eye make-up, makes me look like a drug addict.

When I'm in my 30's, I'll look back and see if there's anything from my 20's that I still like, and get a tattoo inspired by that.

But for now my body is all natural-like.

heres one:

its not as wobbly in the flesh as it looks lol I was drunk when that pic was taken and didn't hold my arm very straight

I've also got a neverwinter logo (same arm I'm building up to a sleeve of video game stuff eventually)

and on the other side I have a custom half sleeve from a very talented artist
in my home town (want some more work from him but his waiting list is 18months atm!)

You must be new to the internet. If you find people randomly being assholes for no reason, and actually want them to go away then the last thing you want to do is tell them that. Case in point, I'd moved on from this thread and now here I am, because you called me back

Sorry went grocery shopping. I'm back. No, I don't do it professionally. I was watching the National Geographic channel and they were talking about a tribe in some 3rd world country that has some meditation technique that makes it so they can injure themselves, but it doesn't bleed or hurt. I wanted to see if I could too.
I had my apartment to myself, and a needle I usually used for sewing leather armor.. well, I succeeded with my meditation. But I had no forethought. I then realized "I'm not gonna wanna have to pierce this again" and "I don't have any jewelry". So I called Hot Topic (piercings/specialty subculture store) and asked if they had the jewelry I needed, and they did. I didn't have a car at that time, so I just shoved the needle through the front of my pants so it wouldn't... lose its place and I walked the 2 miles to the store, got the jewelry, put it in at the dressing room, and walked back home.

Yeah, I wasn't professional. Hopefully that doesn't damper the story!

Oh, and about the Jacob's Ladder- I thought it was supposed to be at slightly changing angles every 1/4 inch so it gives the sensation of a corkscrew. Heh, unintentional pun.

Got none, Thought of maybe getting a tatoo but never concluded on what I wanted and I do not want to be one of those people who go to a bad artist who does a horid job of it resulting in larger and more elaborate cover up jobs.

I'm not interested in any "modifications", except tattoos. The problem with a tattoo, is that I would never be able to decide what to get, and once I did, I'd always end up regretting not getting something else (Even if it was 10-20 years later).

I have 5 fairly large tattoo's. Four are on my arms, and one on the back of my leg. Im working my way up to a couple of sleeves. One Norse, and one egyptian. The one on my leg is the symbol for Mask The Shadowlord, from Forgotten Realms.
