I've been thinking about getting a facial piercing (middle of lower lip, would look cool with mah stubble) and I'm definately getting tattoos. Soon as I'm eighteen, so not long to go.
I'll design em all myself. I'm heavily into prog metal and tribal stuff, so it'll be that kinda artwork with a few personal twists.

Gonna do have upper sleeves, shoulders, chest and back. I want the Ouroboros symbol on the back of my neck and some varient on a tree design below it.

Cookie for anyone who knows what band the tree and ouroboros are for.

Planning to do some tattoos, but I want to be really sure about the motives before I start.

well, be careful that's all, in my experience, swedish tatooists can barely draw a flower properly, but as long as you do your research on the tattooist first and inspect his or her previous works =P

I have seen friends get some really horrible tattoos, especially when its portraits or detailed pictures.

Some of them are badly made, but that just tells me where NOT to go. ^_^

I've got a shark diving tattoo on my upper right arm (though it is in need of some touching up). I plan on getting alot more if I can have my way.

To get off topic a little, here is some advice: a tattoo is painful and permanent. If you are going to get one, then I suggest you give it a great deal of thought. Make the design something that you won't be embarrassed about down the line.

I've been meaning to get more piercings, too, but it's just not happened yet.

I originally wanted to get a septum piercing too. I did have both nipples pierced before, but I took them out because they weren't healing right. I also had a total of 5 earrings in my left ear (full circle). I also did my own Prince Albert, and designed my own tribal tattoo that's barbed wire that transforms into rose branches, then back into barbed wire. That's on my left bicep.

As of right now, I only have a P.A., and... I should get my hole stretcher and see if I even have 3 of the 5 holes in my left ear... I'll do that today.

If I had the money, I'd also do metal implanting, and I was extremely interested in getting horns bolted on to my head once I saw it on TV one day. I also want more tattoos, and want to get my nipples pierced again, and also want to get a Jacob's Ladder (I'd describe it just in case my terminology is wrong but I don't wanna get banned).

Damn, you put in your own P.A.? That is insane, and I have nothing but but respect. Unless you're someone who does piercings professionally, in which case it's less insane but just as impressive.

More on topic, I've only had my ear pierced (no tattoos or anything else). I haven't had anything in it for a few years, so it's grown over, but I'm planning on getting more done. Mainly a piercing in each helix, perhaps my eyebrow, and hopefully something below-the-belt.

But I dont know what that is and now I am really curious. I couldnt even find anything about it on google either.

I have less now than I have had in the past. I used to have two ring in my left ear. Had them the numerous years. One day I took them our and sorta forgot about them. By the time I noticed that the holes had closed up enough to have to have them redone and I just never bothered. Also used to have both my nipples pierced. Those were fun but never healed properly so I took them out after about a year and a half. The only thing I have now is my tattoo. I want another one but don't know what to get. Hell, it took my 25 years to come up with the one I have now.

I'm going to get the rise Against logo tattooed either on my arm or my back in the future, but I donate blood and getting a tattoo makes me unable to do so for 6 months so I am going to plan it to be shortly after I donate blood so the gap between 2 donations wont be that big.

Edit: currently I have nothing. If I had any piercings I wouldn't be allowed to donate at all so I wont ever get that. Also I don't have that much interest in getting one...

If you're thinking of that stuff, I've actually always wanted to have chlorophyll-based skin cells so I don't have to eat, or at least not as much. Then again I'm probably lying since I avoid the sun to the point of covering my windows with metal so light doesn't get in.

Oh, that one would be nice, but robotic limbs are a bit more feasible then chlorophyll skin. Chlorophyll skin would be along the lines of genetic engineering, which has several problems preventing people that are already alive from receiving the benefit. But hey, they made glowing cats so who knows how fast the field is going to move.
On the other hand we already have primitive robotic limbs for amputees and research into biofuel cells could make them receive power straight from the body. The main question is if the brain can learn to control more than the normal number of limbs. The fact that the brain can already make you feel like you have an extra limb (Ghost Limbs) makes me hopeful. I guess my want of robotic limbs comes from my engineering major. The idea of building my own limbs excites me.

Also, I am a fan of low to no light environments as well (I pretty much wear sunglasses whenever it is light outside; overcast, raining, or clear) but even I have to say that is a extreme sun avoidance technique right there.

Currently have two tattoos. A symbol of my own design on my left, upper shoulder and a half sleeve involving wolves and trees and a moon on my right upper arm. I'm happy with these, and won't be getting anymore. I used to have a standard left ear piercing but I removed it for work and it has since healed shut, and I always felt silly wearing it anyways.

I can't imagine the appeal of getting your junk pierced, though. Seems to be a lot of interest in it. Just...ouch.

i'm completely natural right now, i don't even have my ears pierced. but i've been thinking about a tattoo for a while now. problem is, i don't know what i want, because permanent stuff like that is a huge decision. it doesn't help that the only idea my boyfriend will accept is his initials on my ass. >.<

OT: Nothing here, not a fan of piercing on guys. As for a tattoo... Well, I'd have to be pretty certain I'd want to keep that for life/a long time to get one tbh. If I'd get one, it'd probably be something gaming-related (being both my hobby and hopefully once I'm out of uni, line of work), but universally cool-looking or having to do with more than just gaming. For placement, it'd definitely be on my arm and somewhere concealable , both for employment reasons and for the fact I wouldn't want to advertise the tattoo to just anyone.

What I considered is the Assassin's Creed motto, "Nothing is true, everything is permitted", because I actually live by that to a point, so it's not just a game mark, but one of myself as well. The issue is that I'm not sure of it and moreover, that I'd want it in Arabic (closer to the origin [Alamut], Arabic alphabet looks cool and I like the idea of most people not instantly knowing what it says/means), which I imagine would cause it's own share of trouble.
