Fire based Maliwan sniper rifle, Torgue shotgun, and usually a Vladof Assault Rifle/SMG. I also like having a Hyperion pistol with decent mag size for when I go down and I can't hit anything with my other guns, say what you want about their president, the guns are pretty goddamn nice. (Except for the sniper rifles, fuck that noise.)

You are mostly idiots. The thing with a gun, any gun, is that you don't want to be fiddling about putting bullets into it whilst some monstrosity is killing you. It is vital that when you pull the trigger whatever is on the other end dies.

Explosive ammo affects all creature types and Torque shotguns are monstrous. End of line.

Saying that though the best AR I saw was Vladof pruple lightning gun that was scoped, pinpoint accurate, had a RoF of 12.5 and big damage. It didn't do explosive damage though so rapidly became obsolete.

I use a lot of Maliwan guns, mostly explosive assault rifles and shotguns. Tediore guns are pretty fun to use but I have a bad habit of reloading after every few shots, so I lose a lot of ammo from tossing them around all the time.

Hyperion is definitely the worst because of the errant first shots that can make or break some fights.

Y U NO INCLUDE ATLAS?!

I usually end up with Atlas guns without noticing. They'll last me for a few levels too :D
But...
Atlas went out of business and doesn't appear in Borderlands 2.
Not even the Crimson Lance? Awww.
Well, they formed the Crimson Raiders along with Roland after Atlas abandoned them on the planet. That, or they became bandits. A number of badass bandit variants are actually former Crimson Lance soldiers.

What good is explosive damage if you can't hardly hit anything? I agree with the fact that explosive is universally effective, thus making it the most useful of the damage types, but those Gyrojet bullets are so hard to aim. The sole exception being shotguns. I'll take a good Torgue shotgun if one comes my way.

Same dude, it was probably because they were the best over all gun-manufacturers.
Doesn't anybody else find the explanation for there disappearance to be wired? Sure they left but they left a lot of guns and soldiers on Pandora too. Dahl had a disastrous mining operation, they left and yet you still see their guns.

I also miss S&S munitions, its funny that they claim to have more variety but they actually have less brands.

I'm a Jackobs man myself, according to hyperion I have a privet place reserved for me in hell along side with Pedophiles.

1. Jakobs

2. Tediore (mostly for the reloads)

3. Maliwan.

RIP Atlas. You would've been my 2nd place if this were Borderlands Uno.

I've been really enjoying the shotguns and gatling rifles from Torgue, and the scoped weapons made by Dahl.

Shame S&S never came back for the sequal. I fancied the tech they'd put on their weapons to compliment their large ammo clips. I'm hoping they'll make a return in a DLC pack.

I love revolvers both in games and real life so Jakobs gets my vote. Seriously I tend to use them over assault rifles, shotguns, sniper rifles, I just need a revolver to do the job.

It usually depends on the moment, but I went with Bandit, just for the awesome designs. All I know is that I really miss S&S Munitions. I freaking LOVED S&S in the first game.

Why do you make me choose between my children!?!?!

Maliwan barely gets a lead over Vladof and Dahl.

RIP S&S: greatest manufacturer of all time.

Anything not made by Dahl.

How am I supposed to make rapid, high precision shots when the gun burst fires? I can kill most enemies in one shot with my crit modifiers, I don't need to use extra bullets. Burst firing is worse than full auto.

Seriously, if it's Dahl, it's garbage in my opinion.

I like my SMGs Maliwan flavour, my shotguns Hyperion flavour and my sniper rifles Jakobs/Vladof flavour.

Seriously.
Hyperion shotguns.
Case in point: The Conference Call.

I loved Vladof in the first game; still a fan here due to obscene amounts of dakka.

Jakobs are good for pistols, and Dahl make some nice pieces, but I'm still siding with the Reds here.

I have to agree with the love for S&S in the first game. Their supposed replacement, bandit... doesn't really do it for me, except for their launchers. You can't argue with an 8 rocket clip for just unloading into a boss.

Gunzerking with the Torgue explosive rounds does a helluva lot of damage, especially the shotguns. The AR's can be difficult, but worth it to master.

Also, as the ad says...

IF YOU DON'T BUY TORGUE, YOU'RE RETARDED

I do love myself some Hyperion shotguns. I am also a frequent user of Torque shotguns and Bandit SMGs.

My playstyle involves a lot of second winds (somewhat intentionally) so I favor the explode-y Torgue.

I am so very glad that I am not the only one who uses that term. I always say "This guns has soooo much dakka" and all my friends stare at me in confusion, the ignorant sods. Glad too see someone else using the term "dakka."

OT: Gotta go with Vladof for the same reason as above. Vladof frickin' sniper rifles are the best ever.
