Huh? Of course they were RPG's, I don't know how they could of been any more of an RPG, every element of an rpg is there except you play in first person.
I don't think fallout 3 really pulled off the FPS side of it that well, it didn't really try to, not that that's a bad thing.
Borderlands won't be as good of an RPG as fallout 3, but hopefully it will overcome that with great FPS elements.
It really comes down to execution, if its got great fps game mechanics, good rpg story and the rest, I mean it could be a game of the year contender but I have a feeling it's going to fall short somewhere along the line.
Great idea, but lets wait and see.
