So I have been thinking recently. What if Bowser from the Mario games actually became the king of the Mushroom Kingdom?

I think he might actually be better than the princess because while she gets constantly kidnapped by the guy, which might be a good excuse as to why she never really does any leader type things, she also only seems to open a game by doing something like throwing a party or doing something the exact opposite to being a serious monarch.

The mushroom people also can't defend themselves to save their lives even when equiped with spears like in Paper Mario, they even kept their weapons while they where locked up. Funney how they weren't prcieved as a threat so the Koopas let them keep the spears.

While the Toads can't defend themselves, the Koopas can, sure they get stomped on by Mario or whoever, but at least they fight. Bowser also seems to be always commanding, and sure his plans may never be full-proof but the games need to be winable, right?

So what do you guys think? Would Bowser be a better leader than Peach? I say yes.

I have to say yes, even if it was amilitaristic rule, it's better than no rule at all.

If bowser could rule fairly, I would say yes

I think so. Apart from kidnapping the Princess, he doesn't seem all that bad. He certainly doesn't seem to have any problems with getting followers at least.

I barely ever play Mario games, so prepare for a whole lot of incorrect rambling...

I'd say no, because the Mushroom Kingdom has been peaceful under Peach's rule. The only threat has been Bowser himself, so all him being king would do is send the Kingdom into an unnecessary war or will just make life generally bad for every subject of the Kingdom.
Plus he wouldn't be allowed to build anything with pipes in it due to our favourite pesky plumber making a return.

See this is interesting, AND TRUE.

Let us add one factor: Let us assume there are other lands in the neighboring world. Noe of them is possibly growing hostile. Everyone in peach's domain would be happy, until attacked. We've seen bowser attack, but we've never seen him as 100% ruler

Hmm he does have a large varied military and I don't think there are any other nations in the mario world, and even then they probably don't have a mario so I think Bowser could bring safety to the mushroom kingdom.

yeah i guess peach gets kidnapped alot who would wont to kidnap bowser(admitadly it would be funny to see peach kidnapping bowser then mario going on a peralouse journey to save him). assainate perhaps and you dont get an army of minions by being a bad leader so yeah he could be awsome.

There are other nations beside the Mushroom kingdom, but everyone is completly nice, there was one in the first Mario and Luigi game, but it was more of a single person instead of an entire nation. Bowser is evil, yes, but he seems only interested in gaining control of the mushroom kingdom.

Even the other nations can't really stand up for themselves. What's the point of having royal gaurds if they can't do anything.
