This morning I walked into my room knowing what I was looking for, went straight to my bookshelf and stood there for a while looking at my books and wondering what I was doing. I'm also in the habit of thinking 'I should probably get something to eat' and then promptly forgetting until I realise it is 9 o'clock at night and I've had one sandwich all day.

the most famously annoying one i had was when i forgot the word "auction" :/

i went round for 2 days asking "whats the thing where you bid for stuff, and the guy has a hammer?"

i think people were just being mean though, no one would tell me XD

eventually 2 days later, i suddenly remembered over MSN and yelled at one friend "AUCTION! SCREW YOU! I REMEMBERED IT!"

but i never remembered why i needed the word in the first place XD

Sometimes I never remember.
I once forgot what a spoon was called and spent an hour trying to remember.
I also forgot my middle name for 2 months.
I would go somewhere and forget why.
It gets annoying, especially when I forget extremely important things.
Like the fact that I have a girlfriend. That relationship didn't last long.

It's really frustrating if you want to tell someone something, they interrupt you, then you forget what you were going to say.

Yes.

This is why I've basically told anyone I know for more than a week to never interrupt me when I'm saying something.
There is nothing more frustrating than forgetting what you were talking about.

dammit, I was reading your post and I forgot what the hell I was doing.
only for a few seconds though.

I constatly lose things from memory. lucky if I get them back within the following few hours.
by then it is too late anyway

I think everyone who says no is lying.. or they simply don't remember what they were thinking about later on. I get brain lapses only if I get distracted right before I was going to say something.. especially if it isn't something important.

Yeah it happens to me a lot. The worst one I can remember right now was one time in school music class. I was playing a scale on the saxophone for a test but on the way back down the scale I forgot a note, and I couldn't tell which one for like 2 minutes. I have no idea how it's possible to forget a note that you played two seconds before but it happened to me = |.

This happens to me all the time. I also tend to forget thing till it's top late, things like papers I had to write. I'll forget random things and it bugs me till I remember.

I have them sometimes though not as much anymore. I have them mostly when interrupted and occasionaly about random things.

I recall as a child I once slept in the middle of the day, woke up and thought I had slept a day and panicced afterwards before remembering how stupid that idea was.

Pretty much all the time. I forget the names to colors, simple words and commands, and I even forget how to swallow sometimes >_<. I have a really messed up memory.

It makes me look like an ass when I'm talking to someone and I can't remember his/her name.

I'm actually starting to worry about my memory lapses, they're becoming more and more frequent. For example, I'll be sitting at the computer, just browsing the internet. Finish what I'm doing on one page, close the tab... and then open exactly the same page in another tab. What?

It's just as bad at work. I go into the office first thing and the boss tells me what I'm doing for the day... which is forgotten within nanoseconds. Luckily I'm working with a good friend who is considerably less braindead than me.

Yes, Yes all the time. I even forgot what I was writing in this post, but then I remembered it 5 minutes later. I also sometimes get this crazy weird brain vibration thing, and then I fall down but it's like in slow motion.

Most of the time they don't even ask.
They just go on and on and on.
Then I tell them that I wanted to say something.
Then I shout at them that their mindless ramblings made me forget what I was going to say.
Finally, they go "Oh sorry about that. Hey did you know that Joe we-"
"SHUT THE FUCK UP BEFORE I KILL YOU"
"....So as I was saying...."
