while your probably right in that daminahell was reporting on an unfinished topic, I prefer my view, that he's Tygerfires boyfriend, and he's pissed at her telling everyone he breaks shit!.
Hmm...I'm somewhat fond of this train of thought as well.
Seriously people, read the thread again with the mindset that DamianHell is tygerfire's boyfriend, he breaks shit because he's a control freak!, and when the love of his life goes and tells his extended family that is "us", the Escapist Forum users, he FLIPS OUT LIKE A NINJA, but instead of killing people he hits the report button with the reflex's of a fucking cat.

He reports Tygerfire twice, like a cat with ADHD.

There is only one option...
I bet you that it will be 100% for yes.
94% no when i voted, nice try buddy.

i haven't broken any of my controllers. if a game is annoying me i turn it off. saves on having to buy a new controller.
I accidentally posted a half finished topic by pressing Enter in the wrong spot.
oh, so he was being ironic/funny/sarcastic, i see. thanks for clearing that up. is that what the who 'reported' business was related to at the start?
No, that was me that was being reported, because apparently it's too much to ask to wait five seconds while someone fixes a topic that obviously was mistakenly posted.

I think it's dumb to purposely break a controller. All it shows is that you need to dial down the anger and up the dose of xanex(totally joking, but honestly, what good does it do you to break the controller).

I don't, and even though my boyfriend does it, I still think it's insanely stupid to do so.
Now you need to go buy a new controller, and what if you couldn't wait to smash it before you quit the game? now you can't save because your controller is gone. Good job.
Your question is too... childish sounding... to lack a better term. When I say childish I mean that the sentence was constructed by a child grammatically.
Your reply is too... pretentious sounding... to lack a better term. When I say pretentious I mean that the sentence was constructed by an asshole grammatically.

Seriously, her post was perfectly readable, you didn't need to point out the minor flaws. Only complain about grammar when the persons post is hard to read because of the lack of it. It makes you seem less of a twat.

On Topic: No, I've never broken a controller. I don't break controllers when I get angry. I punch walls.

Does it count if it was one of those horrid N64 controllers where the joystick had already worn down and was useless? I replaced it, but then I took a hammer to it. I felt it might make the new one learn how to work right if it saw what happened to it's predecessor.

yeah, people expect you to get it right from the start. been there a few times where things have gone before i finished them. as you said, just wait a minute for it to be corrected. oh, well, now it's sorted it seems to be going well.

Yeah, but now I'm going to be making up connections between posters who fight.
Thanks a lot.
Grandmum.
Just remember, its not enough to have an opinion on a game for people to fight, they are somehow connected

Case in point;
All that hatred I throw at Epoik Kudren (whatever his name is) regarding Halo multiplayer, we were once teammates in a cookie baking contest, and at the critical momemt of baking he didn't add the chocolate chips at the correct time and scuppered our chances of winning the round and possibly going onto the Cookie baking nationals.... for that, I can't look at him, and i can barely touch cookies.

Yes. Not because I'm actually mad at the controller, but because it's in my hands when I'm blowing my top. I actually spent more on controllers because of RE 4 than I did on the game itself. I don't even want to estimate how much my equipment losses due to WoW totaled up to.

sometimes i will/sometimes i used to... depends if i'm mad i'll break and already broken controller so it needed to be replaced in the first place... it can be a good feeling to break something, relieves stress and tension but it's also stupid to break something of value and will need replacing

No, though I will admit to having tossed them forcefully at walls or the floor numerous times. I'm actually surprised they never broke. I did have two playstation controllers stop working (at almost the same time) once, but I think that was because I always wrapped the cord tightly around the controller and they broke that way. Yay for wireless controllers!

It is stupid and I don't do it on purpose.
But if I don't break something to alleviate the stress then I will end up breaking a person.
Lets face it, it is a much better idea to take my stress out on material things than people, which I will never do.
